Yo dudes, bit of superbowl fun, thought we could make it $5 a square so everybody has chance to play etc etc, that can be adjusted depending on the fillers!

Copied from 2+2

How does Super Bowl squares work?

Football Squares Rules
Within the grid, the top row of numbers represents the possible points scored of team one and the left column represents team two’s score. (The numbers are not placed in these squares until the players have added their names to the grid.)
All the players add their names to the other free squares within the grid. Depending on the number of players, some may choose more than one square. As soon as the players have filled in all of the squares, numbers from 0 to 9 are drawn blindly and filled in across the top row. This is repeated for the left column. When you’re done, you’ll have numbers from 0 to 9 in random order across the top row and down the left column, and names filled in all of the other squares.
The object of the game is to “choose” the score of the game by having your name in the square at the intersection of the final points of each team (as you draw an imaginary line down from team one’s score at the top and across from team two’s score). If there is a two-digit number, the second digit is used for the match. For example, if team one has 14 points and team two has 21, the person in the square at the intersection of #4 from the top row and #1 from the left column wins. You will have four winners by selecting the scores at the end of each quarter.

Payouts:
1Q: $50
2Q: $150
3Q: $100
4Q: $200
Post here how many squares you would like 10 max $5 per square!
(we will sort out escrow's once we gauge some serious interest, either a mod or I can do it)

GL, I'm in for 2!

(picture of square grid below, copied from 2+2, Payments on grid are incorrect!)

I would also be interested in a couple squares (via Full Tilt please, or Carbon or Ultimatebet). If we come up shy in a week, maybe make it just $5 and we double our squares. Also, can we pick where we want to go? I'd like 5,5 - 7,7 - 3 (across), 2 (down), and 9, 9. :D

I'm in for $10.

If you lowered it to $5 per square I think you'd fill it pretty easily.
Filling 100 squares at $10 a pop might be difficult.

Yes.

I figure you have about half of the people in already.
You might get 60 if some of the Euro crowd bets on American Football.

But at $5 a pop, I think you'll fill it for sure.

A bit old: https://www.cardschat.com/forum/community-hangout-4/superbowl-squares-pool-76572/

Last year's Loyaler Only squares were $3 each. It sold out in 3 days.
I was "homeless" at the time and ended up winning the big $100 prize.
It had a different payout structure though.
Previous payout structure. Don't get it confused with Jurn8's.
3. Prize pool is $300 (assuming all squares sell). There will be eight payouts this year as follows (and yes you may win more than one item):
a) 1st Quarter Score = $30
b) 1st Quarter Scores Reversed = $15
c) 2nd Quarter (Half-time) Score = $40
d) 2nd Quarter Scores Reversed = $15
e) 3rd Quarter Score = $60
f) 3rd Quarter Scores Reversed = $15
g) Final Score = $100
h) Final Scores Reversed = $25

so 1 at $10 PC, 2 at $10 then poofy lol

Well I will give it another week then maybe if we get to 60 then can split the other squares at $5 each.

There's simply no point doing it for $1 each like that thread, winning $50 isnt going to make me all that happy compared to $400

I'm in for $10 either way. If you need to sell a few more, I'd probably cough up another $10.

Personally, I'd rather have two or three $5 squares. I don't want to get stuck with lousy numbers like 5/5 and pretty much be out of it before the game even starts.

When we get up to 50 players, dropping it to $5 a square to fill it is no problem as you just give people 2x their squares. But if you only have 65 $10 squares sold near game time, you're in a tricky spot.

if we get to 60 then can split the other squares at $5 each.
They'd have to be half-squares, shared with someone else, in order for it to balance.

But yeah, give it a week and we'll see who bites.
