Browns fire coach Eric Mangini

Eric Mangini won't be granted a third season as Cleveland's coach.

Given a second chance last year by Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren to improve, Mangini was fired Monday following a second straight 5-11 season and one day after a humiliating home loss to the rival Pittsburgh Steelers.

Holmgren, who spent several days mulling Mangini's future after last season, wasted no time and dismissed him during a morning meeting.

Mangini's firing was just another highlight of a "banner" year for Cleveland sports. :icon_puke

At least Cleveland State looks like it has a good team this year. Probably could beat the Cavs right now.

yea cleveland hasnt had a good football team in awhile. they had that one yr like 3yrs ago where they finished 10-6 but didnt make playoffs. colt mcCOY isnt the best qb but hes solid and a winner they did beat the pats this yr . you never know wit football lol
