no im not talking about betting against my blue jays either lol.

I wanted to bet on the bengals this weekend, but im a steelers fan, is that allowed? I didn't do it because I wanna watch the game, and if I bet against my team itll be weird to watch. what am I cheering for? any unwritten informal rules on situations like this?

I would never bet against my team it's just a bad spot, if your team wins your upset you lost money if your team loses your upset they lost so betting against your team you are 100% going to be upset but not betting against your team it's 50/50...

I also am a Steelers fan and the Steelers need to step their shit up. 0-2? this Isn't the Bengals It's the Steelers and 0-2 is unacceptable in the Steelers franchise!!!!

Fire Todd Haley, and if it doesn't help Fire Tomlin, or step it up those are the 3 choices

I am a Panthers fan so rarely am I betting on my team. If you could bet on the first three quarters instead of the whole game I would follow everyone's advice. :stupido2:

It's certainly a 'special' spot when you bet against your team. You can still win on both sides if it works out right though. You've got 'inside' information, so at least that's a start, huh. Maybe you're pissed off as well and want to cash in on it.

If you can remain dispassionate about it all then there's no problem - the issue is that a lot of people will let their feelings for their team affect their judgement. If you're at all worried that's you, then don't bet the game.

Usually i dont bet on my favorite team. Ill bet against them way more often because its usually a win win for me. I dont bet too much where im hurt after my team wins and i lose the bet, but just something to consolidate me lol

I'm a fan fan of RIVER PLATE and last year I bet against them constantly, so much so that they have lost the category. Conclusion: broken-heart pockets.

You realize I can use that same logic to "prove" that betting against your team will make you happy 100% of the time?

SHHH you can't, here is why no one is happy when they lose money and no one is happy when their team loses, and if you try to flip it like this

Team wins - happy
Team loses win money - happy

but you won't be fully happy, because one of the two worst things in gambling is going to happen no matter what 1.lose money, 2.lose so you'd be half happy half sad and for me when it comes to my emotions I don't want a push lol

It's just better not to bet unless you were to win life changing money,,,

Would any one ever bet against their team in the super bowl??? =O that be a toughy

I bet on Seattle yesterday. I see it as a win, win. I am happy either way. It is like buying a win!

If your team is Oakland, you don't bet on your team to win lol. I had no clue about the QB INJ.

Before I woke, I planned on putting a bet that Oakland would lose. It was just a thought, don't think I actually could do that. But they freakin' won. wow 0_o

I usually bet against my Leafs on Proline (a government run "parlay" type lotto) only because the betting odds are against them. The lines are tilted in favor of the other team because so many people bet for them.
