After seeing your cardschat username, this was the first movie that I thought of.
Actually, Eddie (Michael) Edwards was nothing like he was portrayed in the movie. He was in fact, an experienced downhill skier, who just missed out on selection for the previous winter Olympics. According to Michael Edwards (Eddie the Eagle) only about 5% of the movie is true.

My favorite film about sports is "Goal" directed by Danny Cannon. The 2005 film is an amateur footballer who is experiencing success and goes to one of the biggest European benches and begins to live his dream. A beautiful movie with lots of emotions and motivation, that everything can be done from scratch. And we can step up to the top step by step. Any recommendation for this movie, look! Greeting!
