OK it took a couple of days to sink in....but in case you didn't know...Alabama lost! The sun did come out on Sunday but........I can't say it has quite sunk in yet that an SEC team won't be playing in the big game unless some things fall into place. No offense to K St. fans or their team but I just can't get excited about a K St. Oregon national championship game.....and apparently most of the US agrees with me (obviously not Kansas or the mid-west in general). For me my hopes remain on Oregon losing to Stanford and K State losing to Texas. I would love to see an Alabama Notre Dame title game. What yall think........ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!

Or Georgia beats Alabama and two of the top 3 lose putting UGA into the championship. The way Alabama has looked the past couple games it is possible, and like you said the top 3 have some tough games coming up. :)

Assuming the Dawgs don't make it to the championship, I would prefer to see Alabama and Oregon.

I'd much rather see an SEC team in the BCS if Bama isn't there.....assuming it's not Auburn I will always make this statement. It felt quite odd rooting for Oregon 2 years ago....LOL! Like I said in an earlier post.....the worst thing that could happen for Georgia was Bama losing a game before the SEC Championship. Now that the monkey is off of their backs I think a renewed sense of vigor is there. That loss has only reminded these kids that they are not unbeatable and anything can happen when you wear a target on your back week in and week out. I have nothing but love for GA but I don't see them beating Bama........looking at the schedule at the beginning of the year I pointed out A&M as a scary game.....and although I love being right, I hated being right this time!!! Jarvis Jones is a beast but Bama wins the SEC Oregon and K St lose and Notre Dame and UA play the BCS (in a perfect world)!!!!LOL!! RTR!

Ya know as bad as my heart hurts over Bamas one loss I'd hate to be a WV fan. What happened???LOL!! Talk about too much hype to early. I understand your bitter....been there done that!! Roll Tide Roll!! BTW I hate Notre Dame that's why I'd prefer them in the title game if Bama happens to get the shot....

Too much hype early and then the wheels fell off and the team quit. Combine that with playing teams that can score at will and things get ugly quick. Not really bitter, just pissed that the team has given up and let a couple of solid ass beatings turn into a 4 game losing streak with OU coming to town this weekend.

I just think the SEC is down across the board this season. LSU has lost 2 and could have easily lost 2 more. Bama is good but they're a far cry from last years dominant defense. UGA is probably playing better than anybody at the moment but I don't think they deserve a NC shot (assuming they win the SEC championship game) if there are 2 other undefeated teams.

I really don't think K State will lose and I don't see Oregon going down either so I hope it's those 2 in the title game.

I think you guys finally just came up against some teams that could play a little defense. If WV played in the PAC12 they certainly could compete with the score at will no defense teams. That loss to Texas Tech just deflated yall I think. What class is Geno??? I don't think that K-St will lose but the best chance of that is against Texas. For some reason I just think that Barkley is gong to bring the upset against the Ducks to end his career on a high note....besides statistically that is. I really thought geno had the Heisman wrapped early on but then again who didn't. I don't know if the SEC is down or if they are up and playing each other is taking its toll. I guess it'll be easier to make that call come bowl season. Off the top of my head I can't think of any top SEC teams losing to anyone but other top tier SEC teams...nothing out of conference.

No you're right a top SEC school hasn't lost to a crappy opponent as of yet but LSU has come close (Auburn), UGA needed a big comeback at Kentucky, and UF needed miracles against UL-Monroe (they're actually pretty good but shouldn't compete against the top of the SEC).

Honestly it's not that I don't think the SEC is good, it's just that I believe there are 2 (or 3) teams better than the best SEC teams this year.

Yeah ULM has given a couple of teams fits this year that they shouldn't have....can we say Arkansas!!!LOL! We'll see at the end of the year but looking at the top 10 (BCS) tells the story of what conference the best teams are in this year for sure. RTR!

I think it will be Oregon vs K-State. On a side note, why isn't Ohio State in the rankings? I know they are on probation and everything but I seem to remember Auburn being in a similar situation some years back (on probation and un-beaten) and being in the top 5 in rankings.

It's too bad Ohio State isn't bowl eligible. That would've made the BCS complete chaos this year.

To the earlier quote, OSU is in the AP rankings, but they are ineligble for the bcs and usa coaches poll rankings

Doesn't seem fair, I hear there were several rules they didn't violate. ;)

If Alabama and Georgia both win this week, then the SEC championship is guaranteed to send somebody to the title game. If ND wins then there guaranteed to the title game. If ND losses and Florida wins then Florida will more than likely will be playing for the title.

Craziest scenario I can think of would be ND losing on Saturday, Georgia losing to GT, and then Georgia beating Bama in the SEC title game.

Yeah that would be pretty nuts....I don't see it coming down that way but crazier things have happened. Since Barkley's out I don't think there is much of a chance of Notre Dame losing to USC and Auburn is way to down this year for me to take them seriously at all against my Tide (but stranger things have happened). I don't see Tech winning but out of the three that's the more plausible scenario....no matter how you look at it...college football is wonderful!! Roll Tide Roll!!!
