bengals have not been the best team for free agent pick ups in thepast, bryant has has a knee problem for years, they get what they pay for, just ask tampa how all that worked out.

Bears should sign him. They need a veteran reciever with good size, even on the downside of his career.

I just dont know why we signed him for given that the status of his knees wasnt unknown at the time of signing.. it seems on the surface premature, but if it turns out that the guy is really washed up, then im glad they cut him loose...just wonder why they signed him to start with.

UMmmm... they actually get what YOU (the fan) pays for. When 'fans' stop paying outrageous fees for tickets, seats and pay-per-season access, they won't have YOUR millions to throw around ... :p

It really wasn't a surprise. His continuing knee problems haunt him, and with the Bengals signing Owens you had to see the writing on the wall. He would have been WR3 at best, and Palmer more than likely wouldn't be throwing to him much. Now if he can't pass a physical he might be done.

The Bengals need to fire the team physician! How did he get the green light to be signed in the first place. Somebody examined him and made the decision that the knee was OK. Oops!
Oh well! T.O. and our new Tight End are looking good in the pre-season. Doesn't look like it will impact the team too much.

Owens looks okay but I wonder how soon he'll start dropping passes. That's always been his biggest negative apart from the obvious attitude.
