Wrestling hasnt been the same since the late 90s
nothing has been the same since the late 90's.
also, i hope one of the girls bleeds in the hell in a cell match.
I agree. I used to watch wrestling back in the 1980's right through to about 2000. When all my buddies (some who still watch) were watching RAW and Smackdown, I preferred Nitro and Thunder.
To me, the seminal moment of wrestling in the mid to late 1990's was when Hulk Hogan did his big heel turn and joined Kevin Nash and Scott Hall to form the New World Order. At that point, WCW was leading the ratings war against the WWF (at the time).
For me personally, one of my favorite wrestlers at the time was Mike Awesome, and just shortly after the WCW was bought out by the WWF, they started the "invasion" angle. He became the first "WCW" wrestler to win a WWF title.
He was awesome!!!
My other favorite wrestler was Booker T. The FIVE TIME FIVE TIME FIVE TIME FIVE TIME FIVE WCW CHAMPION. Now can you dig that.....SUCKAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
The thing now with wrestling is that those of us who go back to the 1990's and even the 1980's, it was different then. In a way, you could say that we outgrew it (I know I did). Whenever I watch any wrestling now, it's on YouTube. The current talent that is in the WWE doesn't interest me at all, but that doesn't mean it's a bad product. It's just different and we have different tastes.
