So I figured I'd start a new thread to talk about his one instead of adding to the other ones!!! Tomorrow one of these two teams (I'm def. leaning towards it being Bama) will reserve the right to play Notre Dam in the BCS Championship.......... I'm going to give them Dawgs alot of credit they have a very talented QB and a good stable of young RB's....the defense led by Jarvis Jones is also very good. Head to head from everything I've seen and read....I'm giving Alabama the edge offensively mainly because of the O-Line. I think Georgia has a slight edge at QB with Murray but not by much and Bama has a slight edge at RB but once again not by much. WR's.....this is where I'm a little bit concerned about Alabama having a problem. With Kenny Bell breaking his leg last week Norwood is going to have to step up big......Amari Cooper has been carrying the load this year and will continue too but Bell was more of the big play guy. There is a possiblity that Bama is going to activate Chris Black instaed of him red shirting and he's the freshman everyone was talking about before he got hurt preseason (not the amazing Cooper). I really think this game is going to be a hard hitting typical SEC game. Alabama's defense stuffs Georgias running game....which hurts Murray early. Look for Murray to have a great second half but an abysmal 1st half.....Georgia will make a game of it in the second half but a slow start will keep them from the win.....Alabama 31....Georgia 20!!! Followed by a blow out of ND in the BCS Championship!!!!!!!! RTR!!

I like your analysis and the final score as well. Except, I do think COOPER is the MVP of the game and much better than the credit given. Bama's QB is also much better (well, somewhat better) than GA ... much more consistent.

Good thread...thanks and ROLL TIDE.

Oh, btw:

The key is Bama's defense though...far better than GA's.

And, Bama's COACH (and staff) is far better than GA.

Roll Tide !

Agreed on all points....I think when it comes to pro potential Murrays stock is much greater than A.J.'s but as far as right now....A.J. has been there before and he has won before!! Saban is worth every penny and Kirby Smart is going to be a great head coach for someone....just hopefully for our sake not anytime soon! I hope you are right about Cooper having a big day....I think Yeldon will to...he wasn't 100% last week and he has some making up to do for the A&M game in his mind!! RTR!!!

Well, as you know, I'm a HUGE Bama fan, so I definitely hope Bama wins! I will definitely be a nail-biter though, so I guess I'd better wear gloves!:D

Bama ftw...20-17:D

What a game!!! Gotta give Georgia a whole lot of credit....they played tough and if they could've stopped the run they would be representing the SEC in the BCS Championship. All I can say is Roll Tide Roll!!! Watch out Notre Dame we're coming for you..........

Sick ending. Georgia shoulda spiked it and set up a couple of plays. I think ND is going to have to work on run defense to stop Bama...

Definitely a great game. Could have gone either way in last 5 minutes of the game. IMO the quarterback for GA gave the game away with 15 secs though. Should have spiked the ball and 2 or 3 endzone plays.. One of the better games of the year. Congrats ALABAMA!!!

I dont think he really gave the game away he was trying to take a shot at the endzone spiking it would only give them time to pick a play which im sure the back shoulder pass they were attempting was what they wouldve called anyway but it got tipped at the line and fell short the WR should have let the ball drop but of course in the moment a ball coming at you...you try to catch it

A great game either way ...

My analysis: The two running backs for Ala (Lacey and Yelton) being able to actually run (Alternating: one running back and wearing down the defense; then bringing in the 'fresh' legs - classic Bama football of late), COOPER's key catch, AND then Coach Saban's critical '2 point conversion' decision to make GA have to get a touchdown vs a field goal to stay in the game.

Agree that GA's coach should have had Murray spike the ball and likely have 2 throws to the end zone. The receiver catching the 'tipped' ball for a reception was doom for GA. However, without the GA interception in the end zone and the blocked field goal for a touchdown, GA may have been in trouble much earlier.

The SEC championship game is always great, but they just seem to keep getting better and better.

GA should feel very good for even making it to this SEC Championship game after that South Carolina "blow-out"... I did not think they could. I still am shocked that SC could beat them that badly.

This was a very good game regardless who won.

Roll tide!
