it makes me suspiscous
it just seems like when i joined gg and some other sites i seemed to get a lot more special wins ( secret bounties \high hand bonuses /ect
in the 1st months i had about 6 that i can think of and then something turned off the tap havnt had any since and also at a few other sites when i joined
it seems wins were much more often in the beginning
i find it questionable to think its just variance
ive never experianced as much bad variance in live poker as in online

does anyone else have the same story for new player at any sites
or thoughts on online poker variance compared to live
just a casual player since moneymaker around 2k mtts a year

Each of us may see the situation differently. Therefore, what you perceive as a strange pattern may in fact be just a pure coincidence. I've been playing poker for over 12 years now and when I started, the first year I was just losing money. I don't think that beginners can have any advantage in a random system

Conspiracy theory is always preferable. Maybe poker rooms do something to make new players stay, but i don't see any tech possibility to do that? If you know any please share.

I mean this is a pretty common thing for new players....,

to compare the number of hands you play live to the number of hands you play

in even one hour online is just not a fair comparison, you're going to see a

lot more variance online for that reason alone..., also there are lot of new players

online who do all kinds of randomness that will curl your hair😎👍

It is no secret that they are in the business of attracting new players and poker beginners (such as new players or newly registered players).


They know very well how to get people to keep playing and keep investing their money - because what poker links give beginners is just a trap
I didn't realize it at first either, but with time I understood it well

When I registered as a new player, I always won the first tournament for money and in freerolls, this was on 5 rooms, I suspect that there are programs for attracting new players.

Then you should have played your first tournament and chosen a very big tournament if you already knew you would win.etc

but the secret bounties and bad beat moneys are evading me lately its quite the coincidents that i won around six special wins in the first months at gg and none since in the last years
ive been playing for 21 years and seen a few things alright

Your thread is no different than dozens of others on the forum (perhaps Hundreds of others) when it comes to suggesting an unfair deal (or a manipulated deal).

fwiw, I've won 1 badbeat jackpot on GG, never on any other site (do they even have them.... I didn't even know GG had them). 'Secret Bounty'... I don't even know what that is.
I've probably played 5 million hands of online poker. (this is a conservative estimate).

Whatever these random wins you received at first, I'd chalk that up to variance (sun-running etc.).

Personally I just try to get better at the game on a regular basis. Even though I do some specific study stuff I KNOW that it is nowhere near enough. When I have spare time I try to spend it on getting better at the game. I never spend it on wondering whether the game is being unfairly manipulated against me. I don't see any value in that (instead I do waste a lot of time here writing posts... also has very little value as far as the quality of my game goes )

Did you know that you can almost always lose when playing poker? etc The grand prize 1st place we always expect is just a mirage This is possible because I have achieved this in satellite tournaments where only one seat is awarded, but it happens very rarely
