Jut wondering whats the best way to backup all databases.

Have 3 databases listed,

Is the quickest/easiest way to make clcik on active databse then click on backup
then make 2nd database active and backup then same for 3rd

Then can I create a new database and restore the 3 backups o ne at a time into the new database or do I create a new database and import the 3 backups one at a time, or is there a new/easier way to do it.

1) Maybe export all hands from all 3 databases rather than backing them up
2) Creating a new database
3) Importing 3 databases I exported

Yes. All of the originally auto imported hands should be in your archive folder so exporting is only needed if you manually imported hands (since they don't get archived).

Ok I thought if you manually imported hands they would go into the HM2Archve folder

So when you manually import hands they actually go into the active database, is that correct?

Any imported hands go to the postgresql database. Original hand history files get archived for performance reasons but manually imported hand history files remain in their original file/folder location. If you want to be able to import those manually imported files again later, like when creating a new database, you should manually copy/paste/move them to the archive folder.

Sorry I'm confused

Any imported hands(files or folders) go to the postgresql database
Original hand history files i.e. AppData\Local\pokerstars.UK\HandHistory\ get archived for performance reasons in C:\HM2Archive

but manually imported hand history files remain in their original file/folder location. If you want to be able to import those manually imported files again later, like when creating a new database, you should manually copy/paste/move them to the archive folder.

dont understand the underlined part. Whay manually import them to go into the postgresql database when you can just copy and paste them directly into HM2 Archive

The hands get parsed and the information from them gets written into tables in the database.

The hand history files get moved to c:\hm2archive.

OK what about backups I cut and pasted my backup folders which were located in
C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Database to my Documents

Can i just paste them back into the HoldemManager/Databse folder again then activate one of the databases again

Currently I have all my exported hands and the backups i copied in my docs and was wondring the best way to get them back into holdemmanager ???
