WPT Global is a curious email to say the least.🤷‍♂️🤔

Yesterday I made a withdrawal request on WPT and they sent me the email below.

I didn't quite understand what they meant by more location data.

In my opinion, what they meant to say in a subtle way is "We won't release your withdrawal because you don't rake the room."😁

What is your opinion on the matter?🤔

You need to enable Windows location permissions.
I don't remember what to do... but I remember that I was only able to play on WPT again because I enabled location permissions with the WPT software.

WPT does not offer services all over the world, so they want to make sure you are in a "legit" location considering that a lot of players are using VPNs nowadays and they know that. That's why they want your device to be in range of multiple wireless connections.

They are weird with their security policies man. The problem is that we can't do anything about it. All those sites are taking advantage of players and bringing up "Terms and conditions" whenever someone complains about anything.

...it means they want to view the wireless connections around you to verify your locations..

a VPN can hide your location, not the surrounding connections👍

... they don't verify until a withdrawal is requested usually, if you requested before and were approved something may have changed in your connection possibly, the only remedy is to work with them on what they are requesting

Wpt global again with their big brother procedures lol. I remember when I tried to sign up in the past and they wanted all kinds of personal documents like my tax number. Then a few months later they left my market anyway.

Never saw something like this from any poker site.

Same reason any site does it - so that you can deposit money and/or generate rake for them until you try to withdraw, at which point they reel you in. Maximizes site revenue. 🎣🎣🎣
