Love to play there again. Social and fun. Nearly felt like you could get a read as player avatars looked at their cards.
Cant believe no other sites went with the idea

PKR was amazing and ahead of the curve imo... would love to see a return. I'm shocked no one has tried to bring it back. It'd lend itself so well to the current online generation with the custom avatars etc. Back then you could dress your avatar with whatever you like, much like the in game purchases in Fortnite now.

Everything was perfect from the lobby music to the player interactions available. Please someone bring it back. I used to play and grind online a lot on party poker but I'd play PKR just for the fun element alone!

Honestly it's such a no brainer as you could just copy & pasta the Fortnite model of collabs with celebrities and movie companies I.e. play as Thor or Loki, Superman, Batman etc. That's a nice side hustle for a company to make sure that the poker rooms run a profit. My two cents anyway.

In short, yes.
Imo it was the closest way to play live poker
with tells, online.
My wife and I would like a similar prog to be released.
I'm surprised PS doesn't offer a limited option of Pkr style tables.

Poker bots are everywhere online.
Just like those annoying A.I. random sales/scam phone calls we're all getting. It will take the service providers to spend some of the vast profits made on our protection for it to stop.

The only way to avoid them 100% is to only play live.

And..
Thanks to you for asking.
Hello BuzbyT and your wife,
Yea, make a similar software and do a great poker site would be a great idea.
I have lived in UK (since 2010) when the PKR started to sell their poker business.
I also loved this site. I got lot of good feelings when i have played on PKR.
Total idiot the videoslots who has bought the pkr software and never let their customers enjoy it. Do you are a programmer or... do you work on it still?

I loved playing at PKR but only as a novelty, it was horrible for multi tabling. I'd definitely play there for fun.
I agree totally! They were way ahead of their time for graphics and simulated realism, but it was not a grinder's paradise.

Pkr was an insresting room but to be honest that whole 3d experience and everything was just interesting in the very beginning. At least to me.

General gameplay was rather slow and i could not really grind there. Room was very soft in general.

I would probably give it a whirl if they let me play here, but what they really need to bring back is Full Tilt😎👍

I would play on there again. I rarely played on there when it was still running. My wife played on there and enjoyed the SnG's (it was very easy to win on there)
A more modern version where a caricature version of your own face gets attached to one of the bodies, with real-time heart rate, and visual effects, making the game much more like 'real live poker' and also making it safer, knowing you're playing against the player who is associated with the account (instead of other pros ghosting, Team Viewer, bots etc.)

Loved it but it was heavy on whatever OS I was using back in the day, either Windows 7 or Windows XP? Possibly the former.

I remember it taking up over a GB of hard disc space too, quite a lot in those days. pokerstars takes up similar nowadays.

Great gaming experience though.

Great, seeing those screenshots again.

I beta tested their site and was there at the end (sad times)! Was great for 'nice' chat (compared to the trash talk on others) - but you could easily report that crap! What finished it was the US being stopped from playing - I loved playing with the Yanks, such good banter.

I played there for a while just to see what it was like and I didn't like it at all,
the graphics put me off so I would not play there again if it came back.

It wasn't the fastest past software but was revolutionary I feel at the time. All other sites are trying to make themselves more game like with throwables and what not but PKR made you actually look like a character in the game. I think some of the satties were pretty good too. As the avatar was completely customisable too you had more to remember than just the name tag if getting a lot of table changes.

I would definitely play again, I have played many times and have also won many tournaments with 10,000 players. To end up as number 1 gives you a great kick.

Also the avatar, you could challenge people (laugh at them or come on, bring it to the table), things like that. Or order drinks or food, adopt a pathetic attitude or an optimistic attitude) wonderful.

Or think for a long time, as if you were having doubts, take a sip of your beer at the table, think, while you already had a world map in your hands, but didn't show it. Really beautiful.

SO YES, THIS WAS THE poker game THAT WAS FAR BEFORE ITS TIME, IF IT COMES BACK I WILL DEFINITELY JOIN, JUST IN THE MODES OF THE TIME, IT WAS JUST GOOD.

I have just joined a site called cryptoinpoker, it is very much like PKR.
I have only been playing freerolls there with approx 400 players.
It's early days and crypto (not everyone's cup of tea) but it's fun and as close as you will get to PKR.

I loved PKR. I would often spend my days off playing SNG’s and tournaments, played the odd bit of cash too. For its time the graphics, custom avatars, chip trick and taunts set it apart from anything else, sure it was a bit laggy but when you’re running a PC with 1mb of ram on windows 7 with 512k ADSL it was bound to. Imagine with today’s tech and broadband speeds what someone could do with it. If only someone out there had the courage and money to relaunch it.

No.

Since I would get no rakeback, no bonuses, and no freerolls.
