I am curious on peoples thoughts on this. I prefer live poker. I do play online but its just missing a little something. Live poker to me has some kind of draw to it. I guess just seeing someone face as they fall into a trap is what gets me. Also it is nice to see mostly the same faces when you go to play that way you can exploit a tell that you see every day. I play 40- to 60 hours a week.

I definitely prefer live poker. I'm more likely to win for a given day and my money lasts forever. But I think the social factor is what I enjoy the most. I guess I'm with you and that it feels really good when you've read a person correctly and you just massacre them.

I've been playing a lot of live poker lately primarily because at this time its the slow season.

With on-line poker, I felt like I have no control and I feel the cards are a bit unusual.

I have played 3 live SNGs. I played 2/4 limit live for the first time this past Saturday at Foxwoods casino in Connecticut. I must say I enjoyed it very much. There were quite a few fish and almost everyone at the table kept drinking, getting shit faced. Gave me a great edge. I liked the social aspect of it as well. I will mos. def. play live again.

As an introvert, I prefer online poker. I also prefer email to phone calls, and working from home to going in to the office. :)

It's a different game, though, and I know I need to get out there and play live more often. I always enjoy it when I do. Getting there, buying in and sitting down at the table is the hard part.

Definitely prefer live games. I like to see people faces and reactions when I play. That's one aspect I hate about online.

Live games are definitely alot better. A few reasons are u cant u pokertracker, sharkscope and what not. Also , the tells on players are so much easier to come across. (You can actually see the players you're up against)

Well only having played one live tournament(i was soooooo nervous, lol) i like to play at home in my jammies just for the comfort and convenience factor.

I signed up for a live cash table at a casino once and chickened out when my name was called! Silly, i know!

I think everyone was very nervous there first tournament. I was shaking every bet. I had only played for a few months so that made it worse. Its funny now because I look for these players now!!

I prefer online poker. Basically because there aren't many live games where I'm at. I play between 20-30 hours a week.

I like both, they have different benefits....

I actually like both, depends on if I feel like playing lots of poker hands and really get into having more chances in less time to practice reading cards and peoples betting styles...then I want to play online.

If I want to focus on reading physical tells and have more thoughtful process then of course I prefer to sit at a live table and not feel the speed pressure to make up your mind like in onlinepoker.

Each has a benefit to enhancing your poker skill set. One focuses more on reading lots of boards and one focuses on more thoughtful analysis of the playing field.

I like to play tourneys on line and when I visit a casino I'll play at the 3-6 tables. I get nervous when the blinds get real big and I feel I could be read like a childrens book. Online tourneys hopefully will give me the ability to break some of my bad habits.

For me it's a not even close, live poker is where it's at!

Online poker is 100% fraudulent. Some of the worst & least knowledgeable players I've ever seen, coupled with software that rewards bad play! I've never seen anything like it. I only play with money I win in freerolls. It's simply no way I'd make a deposit.

I live a little over an hr away from Atlantic City. I practically live there on weekends. I even go on weekdays sometimes. To many hours to admit. Put it like this, I'm a Diamond club member at all Harrah's casinos - Caesars, Bally's, Showboat, Flamingo, Rio, Paris, etc. I’ve never paid for anything from a casino.

I like both live and online play. If I were independantly rich I would play more live.

Value though .. the biggest bang for the buck for someone with limited income is online. I once won a triple shootout with my last 2 bucks that got me a seat in the PS Sunday Million. Made it into the money for around 300 dollars or something like that.

1, 2, 5 or 10 dollar tourneys online pay MORE than the small local live buy ins where when I do play theres usually a deal at the final table for 80 to 300 bucks depnding on relative stack sizes.

So for the amount of investment vs. pay off I play mostly online. However when I'm financially flush and the bills are paid I look for live games and bigger buy-in live tournaments where you can actually win something.

I definately prefer live play however mainly it is with my mates that I play live and don't really like the fact that someone will always lose which may put a bit of a downer on there night, especially as I play for long stretches.

Online I play about 3 hours a day mainly sit and go's 11 out of 15 top 3 so far this week :)

I've only played a couple poker games with family and friends. Nickles and Dime's sorta thing.

Not good enough to play competitively. Although, I play on Zone and I have a PS2 poker game which I try to practice on.

I like to play live more than online. But I end up playing more poker online, because it's convenient. I think online is good because you get to play so many hands per hour, but live poker seems to be funner to play I think, because you're actually interacting with the other players.

Overall, I like playing in my dreams, because it doesn't matter what cards we get dealt I'm going to win.Unless, a nightmare happens  I still won't be out any money.
