I play poker to win, to win money. Chatting while playing is distracting. For me, chatting while playing online is just an unnecessary distraction. Anyone who wants to communicate should create an account in a messenger and have conversations there. The poker table is not a place for chatter.

I agree, table talk is a big part of poker... although it functions better live, most poker sites have always had a chat box. This new trend of not allowing grown adults to chat is absurd, not that I use it much but poker is a very social game in general so chat should be available to those who desire it to be👍

Face to Face in a Casino? No problem with players chatting, On line however? I believe there are too many Brave players that use fighting words in the Chat box and would Start World War Three if left up to them. The Keyboard Warriors are very brave sat in their Mothers Basements spending their time trying to come up with different insults they can throw at each other.
I have very little patience with players like that, and if I find someone who I feel is over Obnoxious! I just block them from the chat, and get the greatest pleasure in taking them out of the game.

For me this feature in useless cause even if exist , I keep in close / mute
