Hey there! Is the first time that I see this kind of format of the Sunday Million (although I think they've already done it before).

Instead of playing the first day on sunday, and the second day on monday, they will be running different phases 1 during the week, I think that once or twice per day.
The PKO's will be counting since the beginning of each phase, and the survivors will get into the phase 2, which will be played on sunday, with the same stack they finish the phase 1.

There are different speeds for the phase 1:
-12 minutes blinds (aprox 5 hs.)
-6 minutes blinds (aprox 2hs 35)
-4 minutes blinds (aprox 1h 45)

Phase 2 starts at 12.5/25K level. So, a 25BB stack will be around 625K.

Personally I like more this way, because, although is a high BI event that I almost never play, most of the times I don't even try to get in because would never be able to play the second day in case I have a good run.

Do you like this format?

Hi @Marshmalo1994

My answer to your question: Do I like this format? Simply NO.

I much prefer all starting with the same stack on a Sunday, and if you get to day 2 on Monday, well, you have done well.

Just my thoughts on it. It will be interesting to see what others think too.?

Nice question though. (y)

I strongly agree with Marc on this one. I'd rather start on Sunday and try to make day 2, because if it's the case, everyone would already be ITM. As to the phase system, making it to phase 2 might not be enough to be ITM, let alone if you get there with a little stack.
That said, I've never tried it and have no info about it yet.

I dont mind phase tournaments and usually play the Low version during the big series like SCOOP and WCOOP. But with that being said the most likely reason, they did this, is because it was becoming increasingly difficult for Sunday Million to attract enough players to reach the $1 million guaranty without running with an overlay. Phase tournaments allow players to play multible Phase 1, until they reach Phase 2, so its a way for sites to create larger fields and price pools.

And of course reducing the guaranty, as they do with all their other tournaments, is sort of difficult, when its literally in the name of the tournament ;)

SM fore was a failure until now I won some tickets in some promotions , some others on the power path (hard and it took a lot of time ) , only to go play SM and lose with bad beats , crazy hands , unreal boards and players . I just wonder if all these 109$ were paid by my pocket ... Wow , that would be so bad , then I would have stopped playing online poker years ago . Of course , even if you don't pay the whole 109$ from your wallet directly , you still lose time , and time is money ........ And also you lose patience . If he tanks his bank time and shove to your bet , and you see he has nothing on the flop against your top set , only to lose by a straight on the river with runner runner , these hands are red flag , scam hands , disgusting . It makes you wonder rid I lose to a poker room bot or what ??? . SM id dead dream for me .
