PokerStars Challenges

Since I started playing again (~2-3 months now) the only challenges I saw are the Hold'em/Omaha Cash Races and the Spin&Go Races.
The Spin&Go seems to be skill-based, that's fine. You have to win to keep up the fuel so you get more points.
But the Cash Races is full of luck, we have no influence at all on it. What cards are being dealt are out of our decisions (unfortunately 🤣).

So, my question is: are these all that PS offers nowadays in regards to challenges? These are not really challenges (at least the Cash game not).. Also are there no 'challenges' for SnGs or MTTs at all?

I like pokerstars but I miss some great challenges with which we could really potentially win something like $T or small-value tickets by simply completing the given challenges and not finishing in the first 100 or 500 on a leaderboard with thousands of players.

I know that on higher levels (maybe Silver?) there are some additional cashback options but below that nothing really? Also, how do these 'personalized' challenges look like on Silver level and above?

By playing on micro stakes only I'm even doubtful when I would reach Bronze chests, not that Silver alone 😅...

Well, germany recently blocked all the challenges and rakeback options.

But before, I was on silver level (even shortly on gold 🤔) but there were no special SnGs or MTT challenges. So I rarely bothered about them.

The only interesting challenges were during events, such as PCA, where there were some chest and ladders challenges where you could win some tickets for MTTs.

So yes, all in all the challenges and additional promotions aren't very great at Pokerstars.

But one member, @IRINA70 is at gold level and very successful with the rakeback challenges. 😊

Yes I'm missing them too.
It's regional restrictions. Seems your country is also victim of said restricitions like austria ..
I also only have the cashraces challenge.
Oh yeah and the Casino Challenge but that's not worth it 🤣

@Andyreas: these event-specific challenges seem interesting, I hope we will have some. I just remember the mini PCA ones where you had to watch the stream to get $5.50 tickets So this was not really a challenge but a good way to earn some free tickets - so note, hopefully we can expect something similar next week so I'll watch the streams!
But does it mean you did not have those weekly challenges? Based on the website, on silver level you should have already had something like that - but maybe it was also restricted in Germany? :/

@G0930: Oh So it seems other countries might have even more challenges? In Hungary at least we have the chests still - though to be fair, as said, on my level it's nice to receive that $0.50 occasionally but won't break if they get rid of this. Instead they should really improve the whole challenges/chests.. And yes the Casino ones... Really not interested in them, so.. And hate when they combine it with Poker so that they might bait more people into gambling in their casino..

Not a challenge but at least we can play the Mini EPT Monte Carlo starting on sunday with added SCOOP tickets

Yes hurts a little more at a higher chest level..
I could win 150$... 2 times a month in the rakeback chests

I play casino games with micro bets from time to time and had some huge wins like this one last month but the Challenge is useless .


Would have to collect 6000 points which is equivalent to 1500€ investment I think for a chest with 150€

Would need to be insanely lucky not be in red numbers, so no thank you

I started to play the challenges when you won the throwables, but when you suddenly realise it is just a ploy to get you to waste your money and them getting it through rakes etc. I quit when you consider all you are winning is some childish Icon you throw at other players, and some are really annoying, it is just a complete money cow for Pokerstars.

Here in Austria, there are still chests, leaderboards and currently the Broadway Challenge. All these challenges are only there to comply with the various rakeback requirements of the countries.
Boradway and the chests depend on how much rake you pay.
I haven't seen tournament challenges for a long time.
What memories are these from the planetary challenges many, many years ago.

Yeah, the throwables are a different topic. I was wondering, are they 'dead' now? I mean, I saw no new throwables anywhere and cannot even get the ones that you were able to get previously. So basically I'm stuck with the default 4-5 and that's all...

that's right, if you play at micro stakes, it will be difficult for you to reach a high chest level, but you can, like me, get a ticket higher at a cost of $5.50 after winning a $109 ticket and opening the chests like this, but you will have to win all the time to maintain the chest level
