I consider myself to be an average-slightly above average player, and I always seem to do well at sites such as UB and Noble, but everytime I play at Absolute I seem to go out about 200-300. I never get cards there, and when I do someone always has better. Don't know how to explain it, I just don't have luck at Absolute. Anyway, I told you that to tell you this. Sat. Night, I was playing at Absolute. I figured I'd play a quick freeroll before I went out for the night, playing Absolute it shouldn't take too long. So anyway, I am doing well and I actually stay in for a couple hours and with right at 100 left I was sitting pretty. I was in second at my table to a guy who was somewhere in the top 5. At this point I was feeling good about it, thinking hey this might be the time I catch a break at that dreaded server. Well, I was sitting in the big blind and it came back to me and I checked with 5-10s. Well, to my delight I hit a big blind special, 5-5-9. I was thinking hey, I hit trips with an over card. I raised small, hoping someone hit 9-a or similar. I had a couple callers, so I was thinking, hey, this could be a good little pot. The high man at my table raised me about 1000, I called and the others cleared out. A 2 came up so I was feeling good, there was no straight and no flush out there to beat me, unless he had A 2,3, or 4, and I couldn't see him raising with that. So I was thinking he had A9 maybe. He went all in. I jumped all over that, and it turned out he had 5-4!!! I had him beat!!! I was going to be right up there, doubling up my already very large stack!!! My luck at Absolute had finally turned......................a 360, as the 4 came on the river. I was sick at my stomach. So now I'm back to square one. Sorry for the bad beat rant, don't usually do them, but I had to ease my frustration somehow.
