Never had any problem with PokerStars. Apart from losing money, of course! Was going to consider GGPoker but the reviews of it on TrustPilot are overwhelmingly negative.
You'd make your decision based on the reviews on a site like that?
Out of curiousity I went there and read the first 5 or 6 reviews. All of them are the same as you'd see written by a donkey on CC who is terrible at poker, knows nothing about variance or is just starting out.
Do you think many of the good, well accomplished players flock to that site to give a review of GGPoker? (or even ones who know how to play?)
I find nothing wrong with the site and obviously thousands agree as it is by far the busiest site in the World today. The only things I don't like about the site >>> the rake is too high in the cash games I play (but it is this way because of the gimmicky stuff they run, ie. 'jackpot
hands', etc. BUT at the same time, this brings out the loose,
gambling donks which also makes it so much more profitable to play on those same tables). The other thing I don't particularly like >>> the MTT rake structure. Before you get to the money bubble, average effective stacks are very shallow and once in the money, same thing... you'll be on tables where most of the table is sitting with ~10bb's.
MTT regs. are all playing on the site as it is the most profitable one for most of them. (way softer than Pokerstars in the lower buyin games)
