Currently, the Russian CEO of GGPoker Ivan Bryksin made several controversial statements about the professional players who play on the GG poker platform, he also spoke about AI and said that poker would be much more fun if it were similar to slot machines.

In addition to this statement, he also spoke about the role of AI on platforms and in poker, which could track players who play their game based on position, range and other techniques achieved on merit, and block these accounts from the platform.

GG has made it clear many times that they don't like professional players on their platform, and the question is why?

After so many controversial statements surrounding this platform, with the use of AI, and that professional players are not welcome, I wonder if you can really trust a platform that has such controversial positions as GG has recently, what do you think about this?

This information is available to everyone on websites, YouTube and other platforms, including GG itself.

First off..
Ivan Briskin is the CEO of PokerOK (not of GGPoker). PokerOK is the Russian skin on GGPoker network. (similar to how BlackChipPoker is a skin on the WPN (ACR) network... or Betssons on iPoker network, along with a dozen other 'skins' on iPoker network).

Ivan 'declared a war against the poker stables' (you know... backing schools... there are plenty in brazil). They aren't good for poker and they're known to be rife with cheating. (ie. ghosting tables, players (coaches) taking over for newer players once they get deep in tournaments, etc. etc.).

When you say "I wonder if you can really trust... " What exactly are you getting at? Because one skin that's on the GGPoker network (the Russian skin) president is fighting against poker stables (and idk what else??) then what exactly can or can't be trusted?

Do you realize that currently the vast majority of online MTT professionals are all playing on GGPoker? (aside from those who aren't able to due to the country they live in but even lots of these players have moved to places where they can legally access GGPoker and are now playing on there).

There are hundreds of guys with 100's of thousands in their accounts on that site. I'm not concerned with keeping 1,000 on there for playing low/micro stakes tables... & if I actually get better at this game and move up to Low/mid I don't think I'll be worried about keeping $10k+ on there either.

Ok, here is a page in Portuguese, sorry for the misunderstanding about the Russian CEO, but clearly GG poker has already made it clear that it does not like professional players, the platform itself has already made this very clear, because I don't know, but follow the link , read all the material and translate it into your language.

It has a lot of information, so it might take you about 15 minutes to read the entire article.

The advantages of a team vs. single players are obvious.... Raises and raises, if you find yourself in the middle of guys discussing the game on the phones, it's not hard to get money out of you....

It's not a difficult question, at least for me.
I think in this case we have two options. We either make money on this particular site or we don't. If we are making money, then perhaps we should continue to do so. If not, then what is the point of playing there?

I think this article sums it up nicely:

And here's a clip from it:
Therefore, in Ivan’s mind, the only way for poker to grow is to become a casino game. If “no one plays with an ideal strategy”, then poker will become much more fun and this will drive recreational players to the game.

He even gets more specific, comparing RTP (Return to Player, percentage of deposits returned to the player) for slots with poker. Currently, Poker offers 60% RTP at best to the recreationals, while slots offer 96%. In Ivan’s opinion, that’s why 20% of GG New customers go to casino instead of poker (data he exposed in a different post). “If everything is done correctly”, however, Poker will reach the 96% RTP and it will play like a casino game, but against people.

To make everyone feel a bit better, he makes sure to state that this will be stated very clearly in the rules! Everyone will know that they are playing a casino game where they can expect to lose in the long run.
Briskin is just a one man. I don't know how much his words carry weight? But if this kind of thinking becomes a norm in the GG ecosystem, then that is a problem.

I hardly ever play at GGPoker. I play only when there are some interesting and promising promotions, such as the ones for the New Year. Therefore, whether there is artificial intelligence there or not, whether it controls something or not, I don't care at all :)
