I have a friend of mine that is using a laptop of Windows 10. He is trying to download pokerstars from the web and it came up with a message saying this:

"bad request your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceed server limit"

Can anyone assist me as to what can be done to resolve this issue.:(

This is usually caused by a cookie on your friends computer that has become too large. Have him clear cookies for the PokerStars site and clear his cache too. This should solve the problem, if not, have him contact PokerStars support for assistance.

WIN10 is definitely not the problem. I downloaded and run Pokerstars on it.

Try a different browser - it's good solution for this case.
Also your friend can use incognito mode, it can be same to cleared browser.
Or you can download installer for your friend and sent it him, probably it will help.

But in such strange cases with standard OS and browser - I would prefer to check computer with antivirus scanner, probably it will find some evil software or extension in browser...

The "bad request" error with PokerStars download likely stems from your friend's request being too large for the server to handle. This could be due to corrupted cache, excessive browser extensions, or a faulty download file. Try these steps: clear browsing data and cookies, disable unnecessary extensions, ensure the download is from the official PokerStars site, and try a different browser. If none of these work, contacting PokerStars support for specific download troubleshooting might be necessary.
Maybe you didn't notice, but the question was asked back in 2020. Now, I think, he probably solved this problem of his :)
But I want to say that this summer I also had such a problem, and the only thing that helped me was downloading simply through a VPN.
