Joe Ingram has been talking about this for a long time. On April 29th 6pm EST Joe is going to have the CEO of WPN on his podcast. This is a promotional video he made for the show on youtube... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-q7Npnz0ZS0
This is a video with not that many views showing weird bot like activity... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWoeDTp5lrU

One more video of Joe talking about the collusion and botting going on...

I feel upset that this type of activity is allowed to go on. I have been using this site for years and there is no way in knowing if I too am a victim. It seems that ACR is passive about these situations until users are reported or harassed enough thru the means of media coverage by significant users with alot of money. I wish there was a site I knew for a fact had air tight security and actively (not passively) monitored these type of issues. I live in Texas. Is there an alternative site/client I should be using that is available to my region?

There is a site I found that sells these undetectable bots. It was very easy to find using google. The service rep selling them said that they haven't had a user detected on ACR in years. I mean come on. ACR needs to dish out some more of those refunds to the little guys who have been using their client for years and have been getting ripped off.

I just posted a similar thread and saw this in the section for similar threads at the bottom of the page. My thread was also inspired as a reaction to the internet poker feud you mentioned. I didn't address ACR collusion specifically, just online poker in general, but collusion absolutely takes place at every online poker room and it's could be even more detrimental to the game than bots. HERE is a link to my thread. Thanks and good luck!

Cool I'll check it out. If I started my own online poker service, I would invest heavily into stopping this. My company would have some integrity.

I haven’t looked into how the bots play but I honestly have been very suspicious of play I’ve come across on this site. I wish Michigan’s former governor hadn’t vetoed the bill that would’ve legalized online gambling. If I had better options I’d never play this site again.

If bots are playing who are they playing for? Are players using bots to their advantage?

I'd only be concerned if I had thousands to lose.
You can tag players you feel uncomfortable playing though.
I play micro plo and just about familiar with the majority of players who play the stakes on ACR.

ACR is literally filled with bots. I report them daily and in the last few weeks we have been lucky to have a few streamers final table against bots. This is what got ACR to start the new refund policy. Hopefully they actually proactively do something as it's out of control and my refund was pretty small. Foxrox was the one caught and that bot actually ripped off something like 178K. One bot that much money. Its a real problem.

Bots are out there no doubt. They've thankfully snagged a couple and say they have at least 8 more with refunds and posting of bot names and players refunded to come Friday 4/26/19.
I got a small refund from the 2 they already posted- hoping for a bigger one this week but I guess we will wait and see.
I play a fair amount of small stakes cash games and the 10nl and esp 25nl have been bot problems for a while.
I also watch the beast leaderboard often and a few regulars- almost certain bots- aren't there anymore- I'm really hoping they are included in the refunds.
I'm also curious to see Phil on Joe's podcast. Should be interesting.

I worry about collusion more in a live game than I do online.

Bots Destroying Poker

I don't understand how with the technology they have. There just can't be bot free poker.

I know, I am simple thinking but us it really that hard to keep bots from online poker?

We Shall see ! I had a ACR account for years but closed it down after reporting solid evidence of collusion and bots. Finally they shut down 2 PLO bots but would never do anything about the collusion. I know several people that we in my same boat. I really hope the WPN network puts a dent in these issues- time will tell !!

When I Read Threads Like this I'm Reminded Of The Classic Fair Ground Amusements... Or Cons lol

Like Throw a Ring Over a Spike, Large Ball Through Small Hole or even Knock something off a tin without the tin falling off too...

We Go into these Games Knowing, Absolutely having told people for years that these things were happening, There is an angle which will always benefit the opponent or the casino or the fair ground amusement but still We Carry on paying for more hoops to throw and more balls to bounce off the holes... lol

Getting Back to the "Bots" It Seems That They are considered Poker Players and Platform clients while They're Paying into the system... and you can have as many accounts as you can find bank accounts to pay in to them...right?

Maybe Bank Cards named "J Blogs","R J Bloggs","J R Bloggs","Mr Bloggs" and so on... also Basing joining Applications made by IP addresses... Cross Platforms and when one platform finds a bot does that stop the bank accounts being used on other platforms?

It's going to be absolutely Impossible To Get Rid of all the Bots on any Platform... But Bots get more money from higher performing Platforms... And the more Players you have on your platform the more likely you are to find more bots...

Save your money and join a local live game club or stick to MTT's on CardsChat they Seem to be Free from Bots...

I've lost about £150 in cash games over the last 4 months lol I've now stuck to the cheep buy in tournaments for training and pleasure and I'm not doing too badly now... I'd Say After another six months of 40 - 50 tournaments a week I'll be ready to actually pay in on a Live Big Money Tournament... The Harder The Going goes Online The Better prepared I'll Be Later On... Lets Hope!!

PokerStars One Night I Played on the same table As Daniel Negreanu and I watched him Buy in Several Times and each time he was going all-in and I Learnt something that night.... Doesn't Matter Who You Are when you're playing online, Every one is as vulnerable to the same (RNG) Down Swings let alone what the calculating bots can take from you...

Bots Stick to worthwhile Large Cash Income Games... Cash Games are Worst for your being
vulnerable...

Bots R Us

Well after reading several articles, the bots are going to be apart of online poker.

Just like drugs are part of America

I read articles on how you can spot one all the way to how you can beat one.

The only thing I can say is hope the sites keep them as.low as possible. The engineer's of Bots say they are making them better and better.

All.I can say is we try to keep our losses low and our winnings high.

It did say the bots can start of at coating $10,000 and taking a lot of hours to get running. So in that case most of them sit in the middle to high end games, ring games and tournaments.

I just want to make $100 a day then the bots can have the rest.

The only way around it is to play live or if only playing online play against the bots. I think if you stay at the micro level we may be safe from bots.

I really wish I could just play on pokerstars. The website I went to that was selling these things had poker stars as the highest risk for using bots. Why can't they get their act together and let me play here in Texas. They are just missing out on money they could be making. Poker rooms have been opening up all over here. I hope one day you can enjoy legally playing poker online as well. This country is very old school sometimes. We act like we are cavemen sometimes.

They are bought buy users on the site for a couple 100$/ yr subscription. Humans make mistakes following their gut. They have a programmed strategy that can play excellent mtt, sng, cash, etc... every time. They also exploit hud stats. Exploitative poker is the term I believe.

How do you even know they are going to do anything though? Joe Ingram, (in one of those videos I posted above) said they allowed a user who was banned for using bots was able to play over 1 million hands before he got banned. Who knows if they even refunded everyone their money who were effected. I get what you mean though. I still am a user just because I don't put alot of money on there at a time. Mainly because I have no other good site to turn to though. I wish some non shady USA based company like pokerstars would make a site available to us all here in the USA.

I would much rather play live because then I wouldn't have to worry about this. They just recently this past year made it legal to play poker in Texas. However, I don't have the bankroll for 1/3 and 5/5 live cash games near me. On average the people that play around here buy in for well over the general rule of 100 big blinds.
