Hello community ,

I have a Bet365 account and I play poker now and then , I have this account to complement my sessions etc.

It's 3 weeks now and they have blocked my account with an error code LLO1 and I can't log in. I reached the customer support more than 4 times via the live chat in order to set a phone call. I am a resident of Greece , they told me that I will receive a phone call from the UK or from Malta.

Today this phone call indeed happened from Malta , I was speaking with a native Greek speaker , he asked me again for my personal information:
-Full name
-Address, post code
-Username
-email
-Date of birth
-Mobile number

He was asking me some questions like if I had any suspicious behavior on my PC or if it was lagging or if I had any weird phising type email or if I have shared any passwords of mine on the social media etc.
I answered every question and after that he told me that the Bet365 team have seen some weird moves in my account, like someone was trying to hack it. Also He proposed to me to make something like a doublicate account and my money must be withdrawn before that action.

I told his that I have a skrill account and I would like them to transfer my funds there , after five minutes of waiting for him to ask his supervisors he insisted that he wanted my IBAN, BIC, SWIFT and address of my local bank. I told him again that there is no possibility I would share this information and that I have a Revolut.

He said that this is the only way to withdraw my funds in order to create the new account. I asked him to send me an email of this which indeed happened.
Everything seems legit for me but I am afraid to share my IBAN etc.

Has anyone else had the same trouble with me?

Bet365 is a major company but still I have heard many scam stories the last couple of months and I don't want to be another victim.
I have received the email from the customer's support guy from this email ''support-gre@customerservices365.com''.

Any ideas?
Do you guys share you personal info that easily on the internet. Is my reaction too much here?
The number he called me was the +356 2226 6000

Thank you

I've already received this confirmation call from bet365 many years ago and for what I remember it was very similar. They asked my name, address, phone, email, date of birth. It was just to confirm my data, I didn't had to cashout any money, so, they didn't asked me my bank details. I don't make intenational bank transfers very often, but I would not worry that much about sharing IBAN, BIC, SWIFT, specially because it seems legit. But if you are worried, you need to consider if the amount of money that you have there worth your peace of mind. I'm also very cautious to share any personal information, specially when they ask information like to take picture next to my ID or my passport copy - I never send this type of docs.

I answered every question
These are personal info that you should not normally provide to one you don't trust. Tho the support seems legit since you're expecting the call. Support may just be verifying you with the account info you have registered.
he insisted that he wanted my IBAN, BIC, SWIFT and address of my local bank.
These info are needed to transfer funds (need to provide to receive money in your bank account). I'll provide this to anyone who would like to send me money. :)

The amount of money it's ok I have 300+ euro in , I don't care if I lose it to be honest.
I will try again in some days and in the meantime I want to talk with the CS of the bank(s).
Maybe I will create a new bank account only for this transfer with a brand new IBAN just in case. :p

Thank you so much guys for replying!

Guys hello and happy New Year!
After talking with the customer services of two Greek banks they assured me that there is no problem in sharing those information as far as they don't contain my internet banking username/password of course.

I talked with the company again and they sent me my money without any issues , there was only 4 euro fee for the bank fee etc.

I have created a new account at bet365 and everything is smooth.

Thanks for replying and good luck at the tables! :)
