Just to finish my negative rant (not personal): In sweden, we get NO Rakeback. NO Bonuses and NO freerolls or Tickets to Freerolls.

The sites are prohibited from giving ANYTHING back to the players by our Big Brother Government.

So I'm not competing on equal terms - especially not if the rake is high.

And you will pay A LOT of rake in PLO5 and PLO6. Even a normal PLO is a rake trap at lower stakes.

In germany we got nearly the same disadvantages.
Therefore I only play tournaments.

It's not even close to being a popular format yet, but I can see it being one as it is quite fun to play, which pulls in very bad players. Agree about edge. I wouldn't want to play it against competent players, much like I wouldn't want to play NLHE against competent players. The idea is really to play any hand to see the flop, for a price acceptable to you, and then to punish players who don't understand the game at all.

These are my favorite poker variants, so I play them whenever I have the time. However, you have to be cautious about colluders, as 888 isn’t very effective at detecting them. Colluders have massive advantage when playing plo5 and plo6.

The 888 rakeback promo feels like a scam. I got the same $1 rakeback for hitting 50%, even after playing multiple hours at $50 stakes. There’s no way the rake was only $2.

I played my first ever game of PLO5 on 888 yesterday and did ok.
I usually play PLO cash games and have for years and I find PLO5 a bit
confusing but am going to persevere and see how I go.

I've played over a thousand hands PLO5&6 on 888poker, I loved it!
