888 Freerolls just got worse

Today 888 simply cut by half (or even closed) morning freerolls.

First one starts at 8:00 (GMT -3) and used to offer 400 ($1,10 I think) seats, now only 200
Second one at 9:00 (GMT - 3) used to offer 200 ($3,30) seats, now only 100
Third one remains equal at 10:00, offering 50 ($5,50) tickets

Last one used to happens at 11:00 (GMT-3), but now it's over :-(

Bad news for freeroll players

I think 888poker is waaay more generous than any other room in matter of freerolls offer.
They already do a lot offering them. Have in mind that no room has any obligation whatsoever to offer freerolls.
Poker rooms don't have to be generous. They have a business to run, anything they do to reward players is to attract more people to play.

I agree. The news is bad. But nevertheless, in my opinion, 888 remains the site with the largest number of freerolls. Anyway, 888 is my favorite site.

Yeah nothing really to moan about it. If 888 cuts some of their generous freerolls offers we can only say: "thanks, was nice as long as it lasted".

Yeah, guys. I agree with you when says that it remains the poker room with most freerolls, but to think:

They give those tickets to tournaments that have a big overlay. If they cut tickets by half, probably tournament prizes will be lowered too

I dont know why, but i dont like the 888 Poker frerrolls, the hyper turbo type is a roulette wheel

I think these are temporary changes. Maybe in the summer, fewer players play poker, most of them are already resting somewhere in nature, and therefore the prize funds were reduced. I think they will be increased again by the end of the year. Seasonal changes.

They have adjusted the format a little bit, its still turbo, but better than it was

In the long run its not sustainable for a poker room to combat overlays by giving away a lot of free tickets. Its sadly a sign, that 888 Poker is a dying site. I know, people dont want to hear this, but volume on 888 Poker has been steadily declining for years and might soon reach a breaking point. But perhaps casino games and sportsbetting can keep the site running, even if they dont make money on poker.

Although 888 is a great site, they often make changes that I personally don't like. And the situation you described is exactly the case of such changes. Let's hope that in 2-3 months they will change everything again and everything will be as it was.

Sometimes the tickets are worthwhile. A few weeks ago I won a $888 ticket although I failed to finish ITM with it :-(

If this is not a joke then u are actually part of the problem. Pretty interesting comment from a long time player like u imo.

I wonder why this behaviour? Why suck every free cent out of a site and not support them one little bit with some real money buy-in here and there?

There will be not much left soon. Acr maybe but even guys like u will probably understand that they completely waste their life grinding those 50 $ freerolls there.

Imo sites should simply ban players who show this parasitic behaviour over a longer period of time from their free offers or let them roll over freeroll winnings before they are allowed to cashout. They bring no value at all.

I don’t think that anyone could complain about the generous level of free opportunities and cheap satellites on offer in 888. Be grateful for the opportunities that are there. Things change and like other sites there may be a day when there are no freerolls on offer. Make hay while the sun shines.
