This is the second tournament I've ever played in where there were more than 150 people competing.
The first was a year ago at the Women's Poker Classic with 275 women and I came in 70th.
The Women's Poker Classic is coming up again but I didn't want to pay the $440 admin fee so I entered a $30 re-buy tournament last Saturday.
My play has so much improved since over a year ago, been reading books like Dan Harringtons No Limit Tournament, Matt Lessinger's Big Book of Bluffs, Phil Gordon's Little Green Book and also played alot more at live casinos.
So instead of being bullied and intimidated at this satellite tournament, I stayed with my solid game, threw in the occasional aggression, and semi bluffs
And made it to the top 10 women out of 157 women.
The next step, I've won entry to two tournaments in 3 weeks time, a Limit Tournament, 30 in the money, top prize $13,500, and a NL Tournament, 30 in the money, top prize $36,000.
I'm pretty excited.
