Just got the same email moots.I haven't played titan lately, and I did like many have connection problems with Titan.
I have not heard of any canadian poker regulations lately, its a little strange.
Wonder if the other play tech clients,william hill. poker 777 and others will follow suit.
Titan was one of my first poker sites and the weekly saturday Cards Chat game was one of the reasons I joined Cards Chat. It's a shame

Okay research shows that the country's criminal code - though not enforced - makes the offereing of gambling services by unlicensed companies a crime.

And all of Play Tech has pulled out of Canada, The netherlands and and finland.

Yup this is kinda retarded IMO, guess it's no odds then that I never managed to get a BR going over on titan. Certainly hope it doesn't come about for other sites I do play on.

Never thought I would see the day myself as most if not all poker sites I'v ever attempted to play have no issues in Canada.

I typically get no news about anything, so another great reason to be part of such a great forum where anything about anything poker related is usually informed to the masses.

I just made a deposit on there yesterday, lol. (for the LATM $2k depositor freeroll that is open to Canadians).

Of all the ipoker sites, Titan has been one of my favourites (along with WillHill) mainly because of the special offers they have on there for Canadians. Customer support has always been the sh1ts though... williamhill is far better in that regard.

I think Titan was the 3rd or 4th pokersite I downloaded & deposited on (after FTP & Stars) & have played on there for quite awhile now. I will definitely miss it

I read a post on P5 from Gags, saying "according to 2p2 they didn't get some site regulations in place that they needed as per some eu regulations."

I hope we don't lose some of the other iPoker sites.

I'm thinking this was the choice of a company to close it's doors to a country due to some regulations/restrictions etc. There's always been a number of iPoker/Playtech sites that have not been (or are not) available to Canadians (ie. PaddyPoker)

Further to this I guess this is going to chunk a few people out of the monthly cc freeroll post this month. I'd imagine there were a few canadians playing in that? Makes for smaller player pool and easier money for the rest of the world LOL

Edit: Very interesting I just checked my email and I am no longer able to log into Titan Poker at all, hmm odd (perhaps pecause I did not make a deposit at any point and had maybe 12c in my account?).

Titan was my n1 room for long time. But their frees became worse and worse. I liked exclusive freeroll there but after they changed the rebuy (for 1 point) unlimited, this free became a joke. Preflopallins all the time...
So I play there very rare nowadays.

I will cash out most of my roll on every site I play, just as a precaution.

I'll leave about $25 on Titan so they don't close my account right away as I still have some bonus freerolls to play there.

Of all the rooms I play, Titan was the one I played the most. What a shame they are closing for Canadians.

Rake the Rake has other Ipoker sites still available to Canadians. Withdrew my balance, hopefully it will be problem free.

Sorry to hear that, let's hope no other sites choose to do this.Miss the yanks as opposition on FTP, the Canadians would be a real bummer.
Poker is such a great past time it is sad some a screwing it up for most of us.
