Would you take the yearly or the lump sum? Id take the 800k awesome hit !!!!
Isn't he known as one of the cheapest living/frugal men in poker?

He's food recommendations:

"What are your food recommendations?
I basically walk on the Strip to McDonald's or Chick-fil-A on breaks. It’s too stressful to leave the venue in your car and deal with the traffic surrounding the center Strip area.

Also, there's a reasonably priced food court below the Horseshoe Casino with a Johnny Rockets, an Asian place, and a Sbarro as a quick, inexpensive option."

Wonder if he starts eating better now.

I would take the money now. In 5-10 years capitalism could be dead due to AI.

i highly doubt he will start to eat better. he is probably going to bury that cash somewhere in the deserts of vegas and only he knows the exact location.

Considering his age, I would choose $800k right away

So $1.2M is actually $800K? Selling your annuity to a 3rd party? I'm confused. The difference would buy you a lot of Big Macs.

Awesome hit!,

I just find the thought he should take the deal immediately because of his age hilarious....

like he's 102 instead of 62 lol, but he's got a vote on Twitter and the 800K is winning by a landslide, cuz of less taxes...

Depending on how long the payouts are I would think about taking the yearly amounts as long as it would continue to my kids if something happened. That said 800K would really help in life. I would most likly take the 800K and run.

How does he win 1.2m but the lump sum is 800k? Why is it not 1.2m?

Ok I kind of get it, it is 1.2m but they pay it out over 20 years. So it's not really 1.2m, but still I wouldn't complain.

Works out about a 4.5% interest rate, which seems reasonable so worth about the same. Surely it's going to be more tax efficient to take the annuity, so that's what I would go for, would be a nice monthly income.

Cash is king. Would shop around for a good interest rate and stick it in a good savings account. So would most likely take the 800k. Inflation also depreciates the worth of money over time. You could also invest in property which is also appreciating exponentially in my country.

I would not refuse to receive 60 thousand for 20 years. This money would be more than enough for me......
Or maybe you should withdraw everything and put it on red?

I guess he would have to pay tax on the winnings so probably after tax it might not even be half a mill
