Triton Invitational (buy-in $200k) was played in Monaco which is also the place of residence for this Finnish pro.

What made this game unique was how it ended. When there were only two players left Antonius was not up against another pro. His opponent was 69 years old Vladimir Korzinin who is known to take upon poker only some months ago.

The fight was fierce but ended in Antonius victory. Korzinin didn't have to leave empty handed either. He took home nearly $3.5 million.

Hello everyone. Yes, I also read about Antonius's victory in this tournament, but the Estonian player's game attracted me more. Everything could have turned out differently if, in one of the key hands, the Estonian had made a hero call.

Longevity is key in Poker but the new player today regardless of age is fearless - its great to see new names make it big. I will pay more attention to Vladimir Korzikin in the future and i suspect many others will too....
Patrik doing what Pat can...awesome.

I watched the stream, Antonius was great but Vladimir Korzinin captured the hearts fo the audience.
They named him Gambledore ! The unknown invitee put up a great fight and gave the pros a hard time with his unconventional play.
From around 100K live earnings to 3.5 million in this invitational . very impressive

I hope he makes another Ft in this Triton Series . So fun to watch him play.

Edit: He is actually doing great in the 150K event which is running now and is in 9th place with half the field gone.
GO Gambledore!

That's great. Antonius is one of the players I really enjoyed watching back in the days of poker after dark.

Patrick Antonius stated that he is just getting started. I wonder what Vladimir Korzinin would say if he beat Patrick in a heads-up.:)
