Don't know if this is the correct place to post this.

Frank massage

She should've refused to do it, but firing her seems a little bit harsh.

and Farah Galfond should just Stfu

This is so cringy. I agree she should have refused, but probably was worried she would get fired if she did. Either way, I think the firing was a bit harsh.

Just read the news article. Crazy story to be honest, it really seems like just a joke to me.

I get that a woman at the table (Farah Galfond) felt uneasy and if so, decided to complain about it (but it was the nipples, which you can tell is a joke... and BTW, just look at that picture! It screams joke!) but asking the wsop to fire the masseuse and did so via Twitter for everyone to see is too much and wrong, IMO.

Hopefully the masseuse, Cintia Amstalden, will get her job back.

Cringe worthy for sure. Is there a story behind the pic? Did the guy ask her for the 'nipple massage'? Did she offer it? Why is his shirt undone in the first place? Is there not a dress code at WSOP events? The guy looks short-stacked and inebriated.
The floor person should have chastised him, and possibly had him charged with invitation to sexual touching.
So much wrong with this situation. Firing the masseuse is not the right decision - in my opinion.

FYI - My wife visited me at a table in Seneca Niagara a few years back. She was in serious back pain. I had the masseuse take her to an empty table and give her a great muscle relaxing back massage.

Yeah, there's a link to the article just above the pic.

He did say it was meant as a joke, and apologized - but she still got fired. :(

You learn something new every day: So the WSOP employs professional masseuses. Not a bad idea, honestly, and I'm sure we all could use a good massage every now and then. 😄

Well, all involved should have known better after the hard moral stand the WSOP took against cheaters....

Is this actually illegal in the state of NV?

Could she lose her license over this?

I completely understand the massage company's point.

I don't even think the picture is that funny.

This is a great example of why you shouldn't involve people on-the-job in your practical joke.

I don't know who is more clueless in this story, him for asking the masseuse for something like that or her for accepting it. I think because it's Vegas some people think they can do anything they can imagine.

Anyway, it was an exaggeration to have fired a. If you don't want that to happen, use that as an example so it doesn't happen again.

Hmm, Im sure there is a dress code in these events. Even if he specifically asked for it, she should've asked someone if its doable. That way some supervisor would've stepped in and prevented this from occuring

Customer service is all about saying "Yes." to the customer.

And - when you are working for tips - saying "Yes." is essential.

Probably she did not know he was taking a selfie or videoing.

Probably not the time and place for this (I get it was a joke), but surely it isn't the fault of the masseuse. This seems like a situation with so many preventable steps along the way which ends in people needing someone to pin blame on. It feels kind of cowardly to blame the worker doing their job (albeit refusing the offer was probably more appropriate).

On an unrelated note: should we have masseuses of any kind at the poker table? I know some people use them (and casinos offering them etc.), but mid-game? I know poker is long and perhaps stressful at times, but couldn't someone just get a massage before or after the game? How odd would it look if football/soccer player was getting a massage on the field sidelines, or if a golfer got one while waiting for the opponent to make their stroke? After all, poker is constantly going on, even if the player isn't in the specific hand.

My understanding is that it was a prank photo, not that anyone's 'nipples were being massaged'... :)

Whilst the behaviour may well be viewed as inappropriate, instant dismissal is definitely draconian.

A warning coupled with an explanation/request not to do it again should have sufficed.

How did I miss this one. WHile I am not surprised she got fired and he is still playing at the WSOP I feel for her. She made a mistake and is paying for it but I wish it could have been handled difently for her. Other than a bad joke was firing her really necessary? I dont think so,

I see it, I don't think so, and it's obvious that the women at the table are going to feel uncomfortable.
