Daniel Sepiol wins the WPT Championship Main Event with the prize 5,678,000$

The extremely attractive heads-up between Daniel and athlete from Greece, Georgios Sotiropoulos, ended with the American player winning. The final hand to decide the champion was also very dramatic with K3 playing KQ and the turn immediately showed a 3 card for Daniel.


Before that, when the tournament had 3 people left, Daniel also had an advantage in the hand holding JJ and successfully filped to eliminate athlete Andrew Lichtenberger's AK. After this hand, he entered heads-up with about 6 times more chips than Georgios. Although the player from Greece at one point seemed to be going upstream with a continuous red string, the final victory still belonged to "chosen one" Daniel.

I stayed away from this thread/column just so I could watch it. It was a rollercoaster as always. Poor Chewie, I was rooting for him, but his AK just couldn't get rid of the brother-n-laws, or JJ for the rest of ya's. Congrats to Daniel.
