You may not know self-described poker pro Damien LeForbes of Long Beach, California, but you may know of Ippei Mizuhara, who stole more than $16 million from Major League Baseball star Shoei Ohtani. Damien LaForbes has been linked to Mizuhara through his bookmaking and money laundering at Resorts World Las Vegas. There are many more players in this illegal activity including contract workers with Resorts World and the husband of a wife from the 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' reality show. LeForbes has pled guilty to his charges and faces 15 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $500,000 fine for running a sportsbook through Resorts World Las Vegas as well as laundering money. According to Resorts World records, LeForbes had supposedly lost $12.3 million through gambling.
