The world series of poker has changed the Player of the Year rules and the event payout schedules just in time for the 2024 wsop.

In a nutshell, the Player of the Year criteria include:
  • top 10 cashes (as opposed to all cashes)
  • five cashes are needed to qualify
  • only one online bracelet will counted (in case there were multiple online bracelets)
  • certain events do not count toward the point total (the Casino Employees, Seniors and Ladies events)
Regarding the Payout schedule, all players who min-cash will now receive at least double the amount of the event’s single buy-in.
