We haven't heard much of poker player Phil Laak over the past few years but occasionally he comes out to play tournaments. Recently Phil took down the $560 buy-in event at the Mega Millions XXVII at the Parkwest Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles. He outlasted 3816 entries and won $380,050. In other news, Ohio may enter the online poker arena as Sen. Niraj Antani submitted a bill to the state. Antani has stated it could be a long shot but it's time to get something going for online poker players and the state. DraftKings Michigan has introduced a 3-handed online poker game to their users called Electric Poker.

I like Phil, he was one of a few players i enjoyed watching on the TV circuit and always provided entertainment on the feature shows, some legendary run ins with DNegs and Phil Helmuth - good to see him back with a win.

We haven't heard about him the last years ? I guess he is not the only one that disappeared . Others have also done it . And many of them because they cannot follow up the current poker gameplay scene , cannot compete the same good as tbey did in the past , the new generation players have taken the game to the next level , with solvers and gto strategies .
