A prominent Maryland attorney and poker player is indicted for alleged tax fraud

Thomas C. Goldstein is a 54-year-old lawyer, who owns a law firm that specializes in appellate litigation, a Harvard professor and founder of SCOTUSblog has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges ranging from tax evasion to making false statements. Goldstein is known to be a good poker player and has had his share of ups and downs which appear to have gotten him into some hot water with the law.

Gee - It is good though that he will get his day in court

And right now there are so many other crooked lawyers available that he can hire because Merrick Garland's ex-special counsel Jack Smith and more than a dozen other of his shady officials got fired

He taught Supreme Court advocacy at Harvard and Stanford but retired from appellate practice in 2023.The case highlights the challenges faced by a man who has been at the forefront of the legal profession for many years.
