I recently had problems with my withdrawal at WPT Global, and they gave me some lame excuses about not being able to find my location.

I talked to some members here on the forum about the matter, who immediately responded kindly, instructing me on what I should do.

I did everything that the CC and WPT members recommended, and even so they canceled my withdrawal and even threatened to close my account and block my funds if their requests were not met.

I believe that all this refusal to release my withdrawal is because I do not provide them with any profit (rake), since everyone knows that I have been a freeroller since I was a child.

So I decided to generate rake for them by playing something with part of my bank roll, but that is where the dilemma comes in.

I cannot play tournaments, which is what I like the most, because I have my job with the railroad and I have to be on call 24 hours a day at home, so I would be wasting money if I had to abandon the tournament if the railroad called me for an emergency.

Playing Spin Go would be an alternative, because it is fast, but it is also a lottery.

Playing Cash Games would be a solution, but the problem is that I have never played and I know that the strategies are very different from MTT.

So I ask, what is the solution?

Thanks Cesar.

Generating rake for them isn't going to do anything. You will have to play "Simon Says" with their support team until they cave in and give you your money.

I agree, generating rake isn't going to do anything.

I play the Cardschat freerolls occasionally but I never plan to withdraw from WPTGlobal. I view money won on that site as 'throw away' money. I really don't like the site. I guess they're legit, but they really don't seem to be trying to give that impression. It's funny, this is the only site I've ever totally disliked.

....you should give them the info they are requesting if you wish to proceed,

on your other post you said you had requested and withdrawn before so

clearly rake has nothing to do with it👍

Let's take a step back...

At this time you have asked a withdrawal once (not counting the previous successful ones) which resulted in failure. And after that you've asked our advice but haven't been in contact with WPT since?

I did everything that the CC and WPT members recommended...

Just double checking...

What device you are using for playing? Phone, laptop, PC?
Is your device capable of finding wifi networks?

If it is, is the option to find wifi networks turned on?
Are there other wifi networks to be found where you play? Can you see their names?

If your device is capable but you can't find networks can you move your device to a location where that is possible?

And if everything above checks out you should also have your poker client running while you are doing this.

Because this is pretty much what they are asking from you as a proof.

Here's an interesting read:

First of all how often do you actually called out to the railroad @Gritz18 becuase i see you in most game's.

So i dont believe this should influence you in regards to playing tournaments im pretty sure you could make time.

I am not sure if your idea will help to get your money. On the what to play issue I would say play cash tables and you probably won't want to play MTT's anymore. I remember when I very first started and I was a little hesitant to play cash tables as well. Now if I am going to play anything other than a freeroll it's usually going to be a cash table. Much closer to live action play than online MTT.

It's a slower pace game, but players don't play as wild. I like to play a couple tables at a time to not get bored. As I play bad when I am on a cold streak and get bored.. I also never play the lowest buy-in tables as I assume they would be more sloppy with their calls. I like the .10/.20 at lowest or .25/,.50. Remember patience is key.

THe site is archaic & clunky.

I deposited $40, did the verification process and signed up via a Cardschat link (it was a fantastic promo which I came close to winning but unfortunately got 'donked' near the end and believe I went out in 3rd).
The only tournaments I've played in were ones I'd won tickets for. I've mostly only played micro/low stakes Cash games on there. Without playing much on there (used to play 100 hands a few nights per week, very late at night when other sites were pretty much dead... the 100 hands took me around 15 to 20mins. to play). These 100 hands would qualify me for the KingsOfCash freeroll (which used to be a great promo... but petered out and now no longer exists).
I figured this site would be like monopoly money for me, not thinking I'd ever make a WD and probably not deposit again either (unless the site tournament traffic REALLY picked up AND they got the site figured out so it wasn't such a HUGE CPU resource hog), but in a very short period of time, I ran that $40 up to over $1,300. Withdrew most of it (leaving enough to be able to play the 100 hands of micro cash late at night... 'again') and now have it up to $400 again and am playing on there less than ever (maybe 1 night per week, 30mins. at the most). It is EXTREMELY soft! If you can get used to the crappy mechanics of the site, it is the easiest site to win money on. (imo)

After reading your previous post on this matter I have to ask, have you done what they asked regarding Wi-Fi data. Rake is not going to solve this issue. Is your network discovery on. If so do you see any other available networks besides your own. If not can you go to a location intown like a Starbucks or McDonalds that has Wi-Fi.. You can usually pick up Wi-Fi from your car in the parking lot.

I would go there and go to the site and contact support team. I would not send any sensitive material (i.e. bank info, credit card number etc.) while on their Wi-Fi. You probably wouldn't even have to use their Wi-Fi if your on a cell or have a hot spot device. Just close enough to have it available should work.

The requests they are asking for seem simple enough. If you're not sure what they mean, ASK them.
Pretty sure it's not a conspiracy regarding more rake. If there was a rake requirement for withdrawing freeroll winnings, they would state this and ask you to fullfill the requirement.
I'd do what they asked of you, and it keeps another room available for you to play in.

As far as what games to play, why not play a micro stakes MTT that plays along the same time as the CC freeroll on there. Worst case scenario you end up getting called in to work and you sit out from the tournament. How often is that going to happen? How often has it happened while playing the CC games on that site? You obtained the money from freeroll winnings... it's no big deal to lose an occasional buy-in due to work commitments. And on the flip side, think of the benefits of winning some micro tournaments (far better than winning a CC freeroll imo). The micro MTT's on that site will probably play similar to the freerolls (site is full of fish)

I did this and much more. I asked my nephew, who is a computer technician, for help. He came to my house, read the email that WPT sent me, and did everything they asked.

I sent an email to WPT saying that I had done everything they had asked me to do, but they still canceled my withdrawal (email below) and did not explain why.

It's like I explained above, I stay at home on call 24 hours a day, and when an emergency happens the railroad calls me, so I have to drop everything and answer the call.

That's why I only play freeroll tournaments, because if the railroad calls me, I can abandon the tournament without any problems and I won't be losing money. I've had to abandon tournaments and some that I had registered for I was absent because the railroad called me.

If I had a crystal ball, I would consult it to see if the railroad will call me or not.😁

As I mentioned above, I have already done what they asked me to do, but they have not yet sent me an answer to confirm that everything is ok, and they have even cancelled my withdrawal request.

I am still thinking about what to do, maybe I will give the WPT some time to see if they will comment on the matter, I will continue playing and if they decide to block my account and my funds, that is fine, I do not want to stress over such a small matter.

So why would u not wait for that answer before rushing another withdrawal request?

Can't wait to use the train if I ever go to brazil that is for sure 😀

That's exactly what I'm going to do, I even commented on it in the post above.
Can't wait to use the train if I ever go to Brazil that is for sure. Seems super safe.
Here in the city where I live, there is a tourist train ride through the Serra do Mar that is incredible, and if it depends on my work as a locomotive on-board computer technician, I can guarantee that it is very safe.

Looks amazing! You know my comment had a little hidden joke in it because as far as I remember I rarely or even never saw u on sitout when I played against u 😅

My personal tip to answer ur thread question is to switch to cash games and learn real deep stacked poker with 100 BB+. U can leave whenever u have an emergency and it will benefit ur game in general because u don't have that many allins and more postflop play than in tournaments.

Interesting. I find cash tables to be too predictable, hence too boring. With tournaments - the changing blinds and inability to top-up make the play a lot more interesting, for me anyway.

Mind cash is definitely the way to go if your schedule needs to be flexible.

I also had problems withdrawing money on the 888 website a month ago. If I write everything in detail here, I could write a book. They tormented me for three months with accepting documents. At first they didn't accept my passport in my native language, but then they accepted my foreign passport because everything was in English (apparently they don't have an employee who speaks this language). They didn't accept utility bills, although I translated everything online on the Internet. In the end, I sent a bank statement. It's good that you can get a statement in English in my bank's online account. Not all banks provide this service. And they still didn't want to accept my withdrawal. I used two poker forums to achieve the withdrawal. They told me that there is a representative from 888 on 2+2. And he didn't even help the first time (his help in this is doubtful, well, maybe they'll look at it out of turn). And only after threats from my side that I will spread my history of withdrawal from 888 on all poker forums and social networks and how the 888 site does not allow you to take money, the withdrawal was unblocked the next day and the document became proof of my residential address (that is the address they did not accept). And all this is probably because I do not play in tournaments and cash games (the rare cases when I play), but only freerolls on 888. So draw conclusions about future withdrawals of money.Additionally, you can see my post about this story here. There, another 888 player couldn't identify himself by his bank account.

It doesn't look like a rake problem. They once rejected my withdrawal and their answer was the exact amount of money that I needed to wager before (although I claimed that it was a little less and they told me I was right).
Did you keep talking with the support?

Yes, I contacted support via the email they sent me and told them that I had done everything they asked me to do, but I have not received a positive response from them yet.

Since they cancelled my withdrawal and the amount returned to my account, I decided to take a break and wait for the next opportunity to request a new withdrawal.
