I don't have PayPal as a deposit option, I also talked to Vanilla Pre-paid visa and they say the card should work! They have not changed anything on their end.
SO Poker Stars is screwing me over, basically.

The GiftCards have changed the rules on what you can deposit on online gaming sites. It is now been set at a maximum of $75 Canadian. Try depositing less than $75 Canadian $'s and see what happens (I had this happen to me ~6mos. ago and it is for ALL sites... not just pokerstars)

I had purchased 2x $200 giftcards (Perfect Gift & Vanilla). Used them to make deposits on multiple sites and on each one it had to be kept at less than $75

They won't let me deposit with a lower amount like $60 dollars. I am beginning to think it is because they can't identify the age of the user of the card. They keep asking me to give them more info before cash games. I think they are redoing part of their algorithm.

Was the $60 'usd' or Canadian $'s? I kept my deposits to a couple dollars below the currency exchange rate (I know Stars typically seems to grab ~1% on the exchange). With current exchange rate being ~ $55 usd (for $75 Cdn.). I'd try depositing $52.98 (or $51.95)
It has worked for me each time.

I prefer to do an e-transfer. Much better and then you're also set up to be able to withdrawal promptly as well. (I used to do Bank Transfer but changed to e-transfer more recently)

I even call vanilla visa and they said nothing has changed in their regulations so I know it is Poker Stars who have made a change in their system.
The problem is you can't get anyone at Poker Star help anymore. There is no live human contact anymore.

I don't know what bank you are dealing with but every bank I know of allows it. (BMO, ICBC, TD, Credit Union,... )

The mastercard GiftCard, the MC Vanilla GiftCard, the Visa Vanilla GiftCard & the MC Joker card have all recently changed their rules, only allowing a maximum of $75 Cdn. deposits (even with a $200 card). I'm not making this up. I've made many deposits.

It has been 4 months now with a steady diet of only free rolls and I am still not able to deposit.

Today I attempted to use a Joker MasterCard GiftCard to make a deposit (it's the same as Vanilla, PerfectGift, etc. and seems to have replaced those two at outlets in my region (I typically purchase them at SHoppersDrugMart)). I used it for a purchase online back in September and it worked fine.

It did NOT work today for Partypoker (recently partypoker had made changes in their Cashier, eliminating 'Bank Transfer' deposits but you can use E-transfer instead and it's even easier).
I then tried it on Titan Poker (Titan has always worked in the past... I've probably used a card on that site at least a few dozen times to be able to play their $10k Bonanza Monthly Freeroll).... and again IT DID NOT WORK!

I'll probably just use it for other things online now (a book or something... maybe even one about how to play the pokerzz).

E-transfer works like a dream though, for both Deposit & Withdrawal. If your bank doesn't let you deposit, open an account at another bank. I've heard TD is the best, ICBC, BMO & Credit Union all work as well. (not sure about Scotia)

I know they had put a deposit/purchase limit of $75 Cdn. on the cards this past year but maybe they've now restricted their use altogether? (I'm not going to bother trying to use it elsewhere now).
