When playing 3-4 tables simultaneously, decision-making becomes more automatic, and there's less time to deeply analyze each hand or make creative plays. The game turns into a more mechanical process, where quick reactions take priority over strategic depth. In a way, poker starts to resemble playing a slot machine rather than a mind game of skill and deception.
What is your opinion?

Yes, multitabling is for those looking to mine a result by taking advantage of specific situations or tendencies...the type that shoves all in to win small pots consistently so as to build big stacks to last til the cash.

For the average player there is a need to observe the table play and figure out what each player is likely to do. Multitabling makes that impossible if not extremely difficult.

I agree, though I feel like that applies most to fast blind formats like Sit n Go Hyper/Turbo, and Spin n Go etc. Where you look at cards and choose either all-in or fold since blinding out is quick there.

When I play in tournaments where the blinds are at least 10 Minutes with a decent timer to think + timebank and a 100BB starting stack, the analytical aspect gets significantly better. As I get to focus better since the play is slower.

That's just my personal take, and how I feel when multi-tabling!

You should keep in mind that we all have different abilities. In my case, I can play 3 tournaments at the same time without losing focus on any of them and being able to carry out all the right strategies. It may be difficult for you, but you have to keep in mind that the tournaments you play also influence this. If you play Zoom or Flash tournaments (the name varies depending on the platform) it may cost you a little more. But in other types of tournaments you'll be sharing many hands at the same table with the same players and you'll be memorizing their moves. It's not that difficult and it's up to you how many tournaments you're comfortable with at once. If I played 4 at once I wouldn't be up to it

Players using HDD feel comfortable at multi-tables. The quality of the game depends on the statistics provided by the program. Without a HUD, it's harder to focus on certain aspects. The fewer tables we play, the more attention we pay to actions before any fold on the preflop.

Most people can train their minds and concentration to play at least 4-6 tables (unless they are very short-handed or fast) without losing much quality of play. But it often takes getting all the basics memorized so some spots don't have to depend on player reads but is automatic.

Personally, I get a little stressed with six Cash tables or more.

If you really want a good mental exercise try playing mixed games with different games on every table while multi-tabling.

Most cash game pros play between 4-6 tables and online MTT pros can easily play 12+ tables at once.

The game isn't lowered to the level of "slots" if you're a winning player it should improve your hourly at the expense of bb/100

Well there be a table count at which everyone will begin to fall off and lose EV due to not having the time to process every piece of information at the table it should be significantly more than 3-4 once you're an seasoned online player.

Also streamlining your decision making is a good thing... There's flops you should be C-betting 100% of the time. Doesn't take that much brain poker to hit the 33% button on K83r BUvBB

Poker is a personal game where you're always able to find a level that is appropriate for your level of skill... please don't tell people who work really hard to get good at the game that because YOU feel uncomfortable in a circumstance that poker quickly becomes "Slots" because you don't know how to be a winning player under such conditions when the average pro is playing significantly more tables while preserving their edge over their opponents.

I hope this helps

It depends on the skill of each player, but in general I think it is very important what type of game it is, since if they are too fast the time to make decisions is much shorter.

In general, I agree with you. I myself play from 2 to 4 tables at a time. And indeed, when I play 4 tables, the process is quite dynamic and automated, so there is no time for special tactical thinking or improvisation. But still, every evening there comes a time when there is only one table left and only then can I try to give my best and play as well as possible.

There is a natural correlation between skill level and experience when it comes to multi tabling. But if we say that 1 table is 100, then all things being equal, I would think that the number decreases the more tables you play because of focus. But I could be wrong because I can't multitable. Not even two tables. But I've noticed that some become more robotic as they play multiple tables. It should be noted that I play exclusively micro stakes NLHE and PLO. Both MTT and ring games.

When I play more than one table, I can only play the cards, not the players, and that is half the game. I can only focus on one for success.

For me I can play probably around 4 tables simultaneously. If I register more than 4 I think I can’t focus so well anymore.

I can play two tables max for full concentration, more than that and I can't analyse my opponents.

I like to play multitabling because I am used with this
When I have just 1-2 tables I get bored fast
