It is'nt even close...live. I've met a lot of nice people and made a lot of friends in my five years playing tournament poker. Aside from here on Cards Chat, mainly in the forums but some from the leagues, I haven't had that same experience online except for my friend upthecreek on Global Poker. It may sound strange, no...it will sound strange, but I'm a solitary person who enjoys being around people.

To paraphrase one of the late Paul Harvey's coffee commercials, "Playing poker online is like a kiss on the cheek."

I don’t live in a state where online poker for money is legal so I have always been a live player. I don’t think playing online would be fun for me. I love playing live just because you get to see your opponent react.

I like to do both but most of my play is online as it is easily accessible. There aren't many poker clubs or casinos near me so as a minimum it is a 2 hour drive to play a live game.

I have been playing poker for about 6 years now and I only play online. I think it would be interesting to try to play in live tournaments, but unfortunately, I don't have that opportunity yet.

I prefer live over online poker because of many reasons. The main one being that live poker is social. People go play live poker to be social. Everybody there isn’t just there because they love poker. You get much more casual players in live, live poker is easier than online,

I only play online. I play at home, in the evenings, it's convenient for me and besides, I prefer to play alone when other people or players don't distract me.
