I actually did the same thing you did. I put up a flag looking for a player and no response. lol - I cannot even remember the site I put it up on. I was going through forums looking for a post like yours. So, I responded.

I think that person was congratulating us for finding each other 
- but on the matter of sites - some sites are softer and some are tougher. You play across multiple sites. I play on 1 site for the VIP to get as much rake back as I can.
in my opinion it doesn't matter what site a player plays on when they are studying together. The poker population has pretty much the same tendencies. Just some of the regs are different. Now we're talking about exploiting a specific player pool.
Finding a poker player partner is hard I am finding. I tried almost over half the year asking around. But, thanks for replying I'll try again in another site whenever I have time. Because I am hardly ever in forums to busy playing and studying amongst other things.
But, I do hope you find what you're looking for. That is why I give out a dummy email account lol - Just on the fact that it got real and now maybe they have second thoughts or for whatever reasons why...
