I signed up for the tournament to look at the black screen and wait for the eternal download. The loss of a couple of dollars is nothing compared to the headache and nervousness that you can get. There are things over which we have no power and cannot control in our hands, for example, an Internet connection. Today it happened to me, tomorrow it will happen to someone else. Some people are forced to play only online. If there is a casino near you, just go there and enjoy.

I think live poker is better than online poker. It is possible to see your opponent live

I played properly-organised poker live only three times - all in Vegas, when I was there. I thought I would be nervous, but in fact I enjoyed it more than online (and there was no danger of being disconnected). I didn't find that I could spot any 'tells' but I have no doubt that if you played against the same people two or three times you would get an inkling of when they were bluffing, and when they had the nuts. I enjoyed it thoroughly, though I didnlt win anything. But the games lasted two or three hours, so I had my money's worth!

This rarely happens to me. But the most annoying thing is when you expect and can't do anything.

If i could i would play live but playing online these days is much more comfortable because of time issues. Besides there are not many places to play poker live in my city.

online poker is better for me. I'm sitting at home. I smoke and drink coffee. I play very calmly

Live games are incredible!

However I remember my first time in casino. Totally funny (not at that time) when my very tight game was verified by guy playing loose aggresive. He kicked me off with 26o against my AJs.

I kinda do think online is better, I can play on my own schedule, wear what I want, take a break when I want, don't have to deal with sloppy drunks... yeah getting disconnected sucks but so does being stuck at a live table full of people I don't want to be around for hours lol

I rather play online because I can play multiple tables and the game play is much faster. I Live poker the play is just to slow for my liking. But I guess its just a personal like to each person, The bottom line is that which ever you play just enjoy it.

Convenience is king, sometimes. Disconnections are the main reason I don't play higher stakes. It happened to me about 12 yrs ago at Lock Poker. I was in their Sunday main. I think it was a $200 buy-in w/a $50K gtd prize pool. I bought in outright. Things were going great for about an hour and a half, then boom, the power goes out. I mean everything. Someone had crashed into an electrical pole and that was it. Since I live in the "country" it took until the next day to complete the repair. Had I been on a laptop I could have just gone and found a connection, but I was on a desktop model at the time. Guess what I play on now, exclusively? Hindsight is always, as they say, 20/20.

I think live poker is better, but for me is not always possible to play live poker. I can only play live with my friends, because there's no casino near me. And a game with my friends usually don't involve a significant amount of money, so, it's more for the fun. So, my only option is keep with the online poker.

Yes, no one is safe from this in online poker, the lights may be turned off or the Internet goes out, but for example, I still prefer to play online. Well, because it's very convenient and comfortable for me, and I think for many people too. Even online, the game is much faster than in live poker, which has a lot of positive effects.

I only play online and despite the interruptions with communication and electricity, I keep calm and a positive attitude. In our life there have always been and will be unforeseen circumstances that we have to overcome without losing our nerve and positive attitude towards life. Just always be optimistic.

When I'm at my house in São Paulo, I try to play at the poker house, but I live most of the time on an island, so I can only play on the internet

Patience is key when playing live. While one table may not be as exciting as you hoped, unlike online poker, you don't have the option of opening another table. For all the convenience and financial sense that online poker offers, the live experience really hits the spot when it comes to entertainment value.

It's a terrible accident. If such serious things happen near me, then the repair work takes much longer. For example, a wire break in an unknown location. I hope this has never happened to you again.

The best way to play poker is live. I love it because it's much more realistic and you can see your opponents.

Live poker is perfect. No one would play online if live poker is accessible to everyone. I don't have any other option. When my internet goes down, I login through mobile phone. So no worries.

I have never played poker live so I can't say which is better but I think both have their advantages
