Hi all,

So as i may have posted in a previous past thread or related post, i am a big fan of Spraggy and Lex Veldhuis and i follow them both on Twitch.

I have been deliberating for a while about investing in some formal and specific online poker training to take my game to a confident level online with low/medium stake MTT tourneys and cash games.

I have as of today invested $112.50 in a package on BBZ poker which is presented by Lex and Jordan "BBZ" Drummond and in this course, i am looking to develop skills around pressure systems which focus on the following detail.

"focusing on the art of applying pressure across various stages of play, making it a must-have for players looking to dominate in competitive environments"

I will share my thoughts moving forward and aim to try and show some real life applications to games i play.

Good luck pirateglenn I'm sure you'll enjoy them. Looking BBZ has to offer right now. Not badly priced. Looking forward to your thoughts and seeing how things go for you. I've heard good things about BBZ poker and their courses. Both Spraggy and Lex are very solid, good and very strong players.

Cheers!!!

Jordan Drummond always reminds me of this guy.

If Jordan ever makes it to SNL they could have a blast.

Good luck! Let us know how everything goes to see if it's worth investing that amount of money in that training!

A fair bit of reading and analysis of play underway at present where i am looking at a number of players i play against regularly and their patterns, its really cool and interesting when reviewing the hand replayer on replay poker, there are definite trends and patterns with bet sizing, who raises what and when in specific positions - all stuff that we tend to see but rarely note for the next time - its not that rocket science to know who loves to steal blinds when you drill down a bit deeper!

I think this is a very good investment, it will definitely pay off and at the same time bring a lot of pleasant impressions in the future.

too short a sample time, ask me after 6 months my friend. BBZ wont change your game overnight, it takes time.
Exactly. No matter what book, course or material you use to improve changes take time and especially when most avg rec players already have habits they need to break. Getting better and improving at poker like most things is a journey and it takes time. With poker like a lot of things you can study it for a lifetime and still have room to improve.

Cheers!!!

Absolutely but what it also involves is investment, you dont necessarily have to spend loads but there is a world of difference between the freerolls we play and the levels i normally play at, players are generally in my experience - more seasoned, experienced and make fewer mistakes.

110% agree that also requires investment and not just in $$$ either. One has to be willing to spend the time it takes to study, put in the effort and know what and how to study.

Personally I should take some time, upgrade and update game by studying. It's been a long time since I really sat down and actually studied to improve and not just do hand history reviews to make sure I hadn't gained any bad habits over time. Kinda lack the motivation and time to do it. The current state online poker doesn't help my motivation.

Cheers!!!

I would never do that! (money is not a problem)

+ You're on the CC forum, and there are so many great topics about poker—just scroll down—old topic...

Nor If I am a beginner in poker or an average player - there are so many free courses, if anyone needs a poker course...there is no such thing as a perfect poker player, we all make mistakes and you never know which hand will win, no matter how well you play it! ;)

Practice makes the game better - that's the truth! :D

(this is just my humble opinion, and an opinion is like an ass - everyone has one )
