Hi everyone.

As I told you many times, I am a rookie who was 10 years ago too and stopped playing for various reasons.
In this part of my very short poker player career I am more studious and try to learn a lot by reading articles, watching videos and participating in this forum.
I have some doubts that I will raise on this site.
Today I have two questions: what is the difference between a cooler and a bad beat?
The second question is: what is it and how to stop and go?
Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards from Buenos Aires.

Cooler is a hand lost not because of a mistake but rather because of the way the cards came out.
A bad beat is when you have the card odds to win but your villain gets a winning card on the turn or river.

So bad beat is when you lose because of cards on the turn and river.
Cooler is when you, for example, have AA and go all-in on the preflop so you haven't seen the first 3 cards, but with the bad beat, you saw the first 3 cards.

I didn't understand the second question so I can't answer.

may be you were meaning spin and go games ? if yes then its game with various buy-ins starting from 0.25$ and more where will be randomly chosen prize usually 2x or 3x times than buy-in or if you get lucky enough even more. There are only 3 players on the table and the winner will get everything.

Hello friends, thanks for your replies.
Regarding "stop and go" is a strategy that I saw last night on YouTube but I did not understand too much what it was because the video was in French.

Best regards.

As for cooler and bad beat the two terms are somewhat related. A bad beat is, when a player is considerably ahead but gets drawn out on and loses the hand. Its very subjective, how much ahead a player must have been, before its considered a bad beat. A cooler is a situation, where two players both have a hand so strong, that the money just has to go in. A classic example is a flop of K83 rainbow, one player has KK, and the other has 88. AA vs. KK preflop is also a cooler, if stacks are around 100BB or less.

Some times a bad beat will lead to a river situation, which is also a cooler. If a player flop a full house, but his opponent hits a runner-runner straight flush, this is a bad beat. But if there was still money behind for river play, its also a cooler, since the player with the full house usually cant fold on the river.

For me cooler and bad beat are almost the same , can't really understand the great differences between these two terms , although bad beat is a very bad instant strike of luck for your hand (for ex a 1% hand to win actually makes it in the river ) . Away from me , always to my opponents . lol :)
