Greetings!

My name is Alejandro.

New to the community. I enjoy playing both tournament and cash games of Texas Hold'em.

I just ordered a 10 seat table to begin hosting a game on occasion amongst friends.

I thought about a single table tournament with one-rebuy option before the break option. Any advice on starting chip stack, payout(s), and structure would be greatly appreciated.

This is how I do mine and we have 9 players:
No rebuys or add ons. 20 minute Levels. 20,000 Starting Stack.
We don’t use the big blind Antee, just blinds.
Small/Big blind
100/100
100/200
200/400
300/600
400/800
500/1000
600/1200
800/1600
1000/2000
1500/3000
2000/4000
3-6 4-8 5-10 10-20

It usually runs about 4-5 hours.

We just pay the top 3. We also do a bounty on each player.
It’s a lot of fun. After the first hour of play we do lunch.

A good tip is to download the TDA rules and play strictly to those rules, that way when any one of you or your friends go to a casino they will know the correct rules.

It really depends on your preference, but I rather be able to play multiple games. If you go out the first hand in a 5hr tourney, you got a lot of time to twittle your thumbs. If you start with 1500 chips and a standard structure you can get in several games.

Look under the sngs tab. In the olden days you could play as many as you want now it seems like you are lucky if one runs.

these spin's have killed the single-table tournament format completely (( pokerstars is probably the only room that still supports SnG
