My home casino is set to reopen on 5-15-2020 and it got me thinking should the tables be set to 6 or leave it at 10 players per table?just want to see what other players are thinking.I would understand if poker rooms make the change.I will be there if changed or not I miss live daily tournaments.

6 Handed would be great, I would be ecstatic if my local poker room opened back up with these rules!

This would be agreeable, and if poker rooms are going to apply social distancing rules, they should mandate the wearing of gloves. Handling chips from various other players has always been a really disgusting aspect of playing live poker, and I would never play live poker again without gloves.

I don't think the gloves are all that helpful just everyone avoid touching their face or anything else but the cards and keep the sanitizer hndyfor use before and after you do

How many feet apart are players when 6-handed at the table?

I mostly play at Seneca Niagara. They are only opening June 18th with slots, but no table games...the border is closed, so it doesn't matter.
I don't like short-handed poker, but I wouldn't like to get the virus even more.

I read some comments regarding gloves, these are rather an incorrect biosecurity situation. Since many people when using gloves forget that the main thing is to avoid touching the face in addition to using the 70% disinfectant alcohol. as long as you keep the minimum recommended distance and the players have each of their own disinfectants and face masks, I think it was no problem to play live again.

I wear gloves at work all day. They don' protect you from anything unless you properly change them every time you touch anything.

That being said, I find they do make you more aware to NOT touch your face, which is even more important.

No. More variance = more action. Poker room owners want more players in their establishments not less, I assume.

No way...It is up to the venue to decide how many people should be at the table. Sometimes 9 or ten is good.

I believe that not tables of 9 of 6 of 5 of 4 of 3, poker is beautiful and different in its different modalities, you just have to know how to adapt to each one in particular.

I am afraid that because the nearest Casino is over 100 miles away it will be a long drive, only to be disappointed by fewer players turning up because of the pandemic, I prefer 9 player tables, but 6 would be fine if 6 turned up, any fewer numbers then it becomes less favorable to play.
Personally I have medical problems, and because my Wife and Daughter also have medical problems it would be a concern for me to return to live games for a long time to come, I do miss my weekly Pub game but it is, what it is, and I have to respect my family interest's.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

I used to like 6-max tables, lately I've started to like 9-max tables more. I think both options should be done !!!

i agree. 9 or 10 players tables are good, more chance of action and players to look out for.
But you can also be further away from the danger of the big stack or the bonkers aggressive player.

No reason to ban 6 player games. No need to ban any. Its personal choice what you like. Me personally like the 9-10 max table

To me: no, mainly in cash games once you can't win more than you have in table and you pay rake per playing.

It's nice having more players ,at a table. I wouldn't want to have, 6 per table. The more the merrier, also means more money at the table.

I play time raked games and made it clear to management that I and others would be willing to pay the difference to play 6 max. Months later and still no 6 max.
