Live Poker in Asia

Hi guys, I am wanting to do some travel throughout South East Asia.

I know Manila has a great poker scene. But I was wondering if anyone knows any other great places to play poker in Asia.
I play both cash and tournament games so I don't mind if the location caters to one or the other.

Also, if you have any experience in traveling for poker, I would love to hear any insight/advice and stories you would like to share!

I also have a question about traveling to south east asia for playing live poker. It doesn't actually have to be asia only but it will be fine for this question.

In western countries we generally have higher average income than in south east asian countries. So I wonder what happens to live poker and stakes when going from a rich country to a poor country?

Because if we play 3/5 in las vegas, that is lots of money becuse its dollars, but if we go to a poor country, then 3/5 is a small amount of money. So we would have to play at much higher stakes in the poor country, maybe 50/100. But then maybe we will be out of our league, because even if we are bankrolled for those stakes because it's equivalent to 3/5 in vegas, then maybe the players at 50/100 are much better than the players at 3/5 in vegas?

I missed the casinos last time I was in Asia, I'm going to try to play poker this time around. I hope the Asian poker tour is going on in one of the countries while I'm there, I think it would be awesome. I know Japan holds their own tournaments, so I hope to get to play in one of them, I'm not sure of the requirements involved yet.
So I am commenting in this thread in case anyone answers with some insights.

Interesting question, I would love to know about this more too, honestly. So far I played live only in the UK.
But combining a nice vacation with some poker would be just great in my opinion.
