Tournament: 200 dollar buy in
Starting stack was 30000
blinds 1000,2000
Player A calls
Player B calls
Player C Raises about 1/3 of his stack

Small Blind fold
Big Blind folds
Player A folds
Player C throws cards in muck, goes for pot.. Missed the fact that Player B did not act.

somewhat of a friendly game... Home Game

Tournament director is called over... ( buddies,,, and kind of indicates he is going to let the player get his cards back or at least take back the chips..)

Results where ( from voices at the table ( other players) Cards are mucked, All chips lost..) about 20 K in chips...

Tilt is obvious from this point..

Your Thoughts...

Pay attention, it’s up to you to know who is left in the hand. When you muck your hand is dead. Only player B has a live had now and should be awarded the whole pot. If player C tilts that’s on him. Good luck!

Oof, that's a tough spot. In a home game, especially if it's friendly, the rules can be a bit more relaxed, but once cards are mucked, it’s usually game over for that hand. If the tournament director is considering letting Player C take back the chips or get their cards back, it really depends on how strict the house rules are. In a more formal setting, once the cards are mucked, Player C’s hand is dead, and those chips are in the pot. But since this is a home game and everyone’s buddies, maybe a compromise could be reached if all players agree. However, letting Player C take back the chips might set a precedent that could cause issues later in the game. At the end of the day, it’s all about what’s fair and what everyone at the table is comfortable with. But yeah, the tilt after something like that? Totally understandable haha .
Have a nice day and big wins! ;)

Tournament director is called over... Your Thoughts...
If there was a tournament director, then presumably there was also a dealer. And then dont muck your cards, until the dealer has pushed the pot towards you. When you did anyway, its up to the tournament director to decide, if they are still retrievable or not. This time they were not, and you paid the price for your mistake.
