We are heading back to Vegas this summer to see who can beat our pros in a wsop event! Here is your chance to compete with our pros and try to win a WSOP bracelet!

CardsChat will be having it's 11th WSOP team event in June. Members will have the opportunity to outlast poker pro Chris Fox Wallace and CardsChat Ambassadors Ashley Sleeth and Dara O'Kearney in the WSOP Colossus event. (All are not confirmed but most will likely play). You can get tips from them here:

Ashley Sleeth (Vegas MTT pro)- Ask Me Anything About Playing Live Poker

Dara O'Kearney (Satellite Specialist) - Ask Me Anything about satellites/knockouts

Chris 'Fox' Wallace (Poker Pro, Coach and Author) - Ask Me Anything!

The Colossus tournament starts on Fri, June 30th and the final table will play out on Mon, July 3rd. The buy-in is $400 and there are 2 starting flights. It is a re-entry event that will run for 4 days. All events begin at 10am.

Flight 70A - 10am Friday, June 30th
Flight 70B - 10am Saturday, July 1st

You can find the details on the event here:

WSOP 2023 Tournament Schedule

The event will be a last longer challenge and the team will consist of 12-18 members. We are taking names now for those who are interested and CardsChat members are welcome to join in! All CardsChat members with 30+ posts will have first priority. We may accept a few others depending on the size of the team.
As we add members they will need to post in this thread to introduce themselves and give us a little bit of background on their poker experience and history. Link your Twitter account please.
CardsChat will pay $200 of each team member's $400 entry into the event. (You can re-enter once per flight but we only pay the $200 for your 1st entry). You are responsible for your own transportation and expenses to get to the event.

The team member who lasts the longest will get $500!

-In the unlikely event that no one makes Day 2, we will determine the winner of the last longer by highest cash earned in the tournament. You can start in either flight - however it is preferable that you start in Flight A on Friday so we can all be there on the same day. You must meet ALL requirements before getting paid. Please be considerate of the fact that I am also playing and cannot chase you down to fulfill the requirements - including posting in this thread, so you could lose your spot if you don't take care of them in a timely manner. :)
Team members will be required to:
  1. Post their introduction to the team in this thread with full name and flight expected to play along with a link to their Twitter account.
  2. Participate in this rail thread. (or post their tournament updates in Twitter).
  3. Wear a CardsChat hoodie, sweatshirt or t-shirt and use a CardsChat card protector throughout the entire event. (They will be provided by CardsChat unless you have already been given one in a previous event. (They must have the logo on the back). Baseball caps and t-shirts will be provided if they are going to be worn. Hoodies may be placed on the back of your chair - however if you are being televised or streamed either the hoodie, a CC tshirt or a CC cap must be visible.
  4. Follow us in Twitter and tweet a picture of yourself wearing your CC gear and mention/tag @cardschat.
  5. Tweet a picture of your chip stack or your cards with your card protector and mention/tag @cardschat.
All of the above must be done before you receive your $200 - plus you need to already be registered for the event. You will not be eligible for the last longer prize if you do not wear CC gear and use your card protector during the entire event.

I'm glad I'm on the list , maybe this time I won't lose my local bankroll money! Woot Woot, let's go! I've not decided whether I will play flight A or B, I fly in way early Friday, so if I get my bags dropped off and feel like it will be doing Flight A and B if need be.

What a great team event!

When I registered last year, I saw the thread but didn't fully grasp the concept - LOL.

Wish you all a blast and hope the last person standing will not be a pro this year. 😄

I'd love to take part some time in the future if possible but definitely not this time. But I'll definitely be railing all of you! 😎

Go Go Go, CardsChat!

At this point, I don't know if I can join you...just got back from Las Vegas two weeks ago...had a great time, but both my wife and I got sick after returning home...enough sleep was an issue...missed my granddaughter too much.

Wow! So exciting! I would absolutely love to be on the cardschat team again this year for the Colossus! My name is Amanda Nissman on twitter @amandaanne and I play on ACR (Redrydinhood.) I booked my room a while ago and was hoping you'd pick the Colossus to play again this year. Was worried I'd be at a wedding in LA but as it turns out that's just before the Colossus. GL everyone!!!

Hi, my name is Alejandro Valenzuela and I would like to participate in the Cardschat team league for the Colossus this year. My twitter username is https://twitter.com/5TR8_FLUSH

This will be my first WSOP event and am looking forward to this experience. I'm planning on playing Flight 70A. Can I register when I get there or do I need to register online?

Yay for another WSOP! Sign me up for Flight B on Saturday, July 1st please! The Ladies Event is the Thursday beforehand, so the only way I can't make it is if I'm running deep in that one :) Let's do this!

Yea! I hate the timing of the Ladies event this year. Look forward to seeing you!

Just make sure you don't wait until the morning of the event to register - it will probably be a nightmare. I am going to register the day before. I prefer not to pay fees by registering online plus they screwed up my entry the only time I ever tried it,

But - I do like getting the points on my credit card and not having to take so much cash so I might check it out again lol. It depends on the fees.

I don't think I can make it, unless I suddenly have $2000 to spend on flights and hotel. Or if I win one of the satellite packages. ;)
