Could you advice if it is worth playing Spin&Go at pokerstars?
What bankroll should I have in order to start learning to play 0.25$?
What is the best strategy?
Is it realistic to earn some 20-50$ in several weeks from Spin&Go?

These tournaments are more like a lottery than poker. You can of course play them, but you should understand that in such tournaments everything will mainly depend on your luck than on your skills or experience. As for the size of your bankroll, in my opinion, in order to play at least 10 tournaments a day, with a buy-in of 25 cents, you need a bankroll of at least $150, preferably $200-250.

The variance is sick since you also have a random multiplier involved. But at lower levels, there are a lot of recreational players who win a ticket(s) to play a certain spin-and-go. They often play very fast and recklessly.

Bankroll around 200-300x the buy-in level.

So do you say that it is not realistic to play with some tactic? It is more like a lottery? Like ‘All-in’ or ‘Fold’?

An individual game is more based on skill of course, as anything can happen in short stack poker. However of course over the long term your skill can prevail and you could win some money.

Here is the problem tho, the rake!! Lets say you play 100 games, a really high win percentage is probably around 40%, this is very good. But the rake on GG is 7%, I would imagine it is similar on stars. So the reality is that even if you are winning a decent percentage of the time, the rake is likely to send you back to a roughly break even point. Plus, remember you also have to be very good to get this win rate in the first place!!!

Don't worry so much about needing a high BR, maybe $50 for 0.25 spins if you are a roughly break even player, spins are not nearly as high variance as MTTs as there are only 3 players....so if you are equal skill as the other players, you will win 1 out of 3!

Try playing 100 games and track your results, then come back here with what you have achieved. This is the way to start.

I don't think it is realistic to win $20-$50, unless you are very good, get lucky with big multipliers, or can move up to higher stakes and still maintain a good winrate!

In terms of the best strategy, I think its best to play very tight and very aggressive, wait for opportunities, and understand that if you are not picking up cards, but you can survive until the blinds have gone up then things can change very quickly, so its worth trying to cling on, and not just shoving your last few chips with garbage!

This looks like a very interesting article on spins strategy!

Can I use any tactic? Or what to do or better not to do? Or is it only ‘Lady luck’ involved? 🤣
Yes. You value-bet and call wider. Since they often play any two cards just to get the match to end quickly. But this is not a typical opponent, they are more common when the sites are having spin and gos to qualify for tournaments and or give away tickets as a promotion.

The sustainable ROIs are low and the variance is high.

Think its best to get coached on these if you are going to play them.
What do you mean by ‘The sustainable ROIs are low and the variance is high’?
And what is the best way to be coached?

So do you say that Pokerstars is giving tickets to play Spin&Go for free? 😳 Then no tactics will help..

That's good for you. People don't care so much about things they get for free. And it's often part of a sign-up bonus. So it can be new and inexperienced players.

Some of the really good spin players have mid single digit ROI's(Return On Investment) .

Since the ROI's are low that means the variance will be high.

The best way to be coached - is with an open mind.

I know Collin Moshman has coached spins in the past.

should you play them, of course, if you like them then play what bankroll you need to play for $0.25 you need to have at least $25 to play them and not worry about losing, and if you're a good player, you'll certainly raise money as the best strategy like anywhere else if the game is very fast then play with a strong hand for fast play and are you not afraid to play all-in is it possible to make money in any poker if you're a good player then you will be able to go up the limits and raise money at a distance

Thanks. Good point. People should care less about tickets given for free. So theoretically I could have advantage here.

I will search for his videos and let’s see what tactics he is suggesting🤔

What do you mean by a strong hand: any pair or Ace high? Or something more valuable?

Just a curiosity! Why does the leaderboard in the Pokerstars spin&go format show hidden nicknames?

I play the equivalent on unibet called Hexapro. I go there to squander all my winnings. When the other players see me there they probably form a lineup!

It is like playing the lottery, when you are all in, doesn't matter if you have AA, pray as much as you can
