Limping in Passive or Soft Games
Passive Players: In games where opponents are not aggressive, the limp can work to see the flop cheaply, especially in low-stakes games where players tend not to exploit frequent raises. If your opponents rarely raise pre-flop, the limp gives you the opportunity to see the flop without taking too much risk.
Low-limit games: At tables with many recreational players, limping is a more common practice. In these environments, limping can be acceptable, as there is less aggression, and players tend to play more speculative hands without worrying about position.
