What is the best way to play open ended straight draws that have the potential to be the nuts, post flop and post turn? Do you call, make a small value bet or fold to any signifant bet? Yes I realize there a lot of factors involved and each hand is different but is there a general rule of thumb for playing open ended straight draws?

Playing open straight draws that have the potential to be the best after the flop and after the turn can be tricky, but there are some general rules to follow.
Against a continuation bet, the optimal counter strategy includes checking-raising with the strongest hands in your range to build the pot and extract value.
Open ladder draws, also called up-down draws, can be a lot of fun to play.
(Generally speaking) it is usually better to fold or raise. One of the key considerations would be the size of the stacks and who is in the hand.
Ultimately, the best way to play open straight draws depends on the specific situation. However, these general rules can help you make more informed decisions.
